On April 29, 1965, Samuel met and fell in love with his loving wife. The two of them celebrated their 47th and final wedding anniversary on April 29, 2012, as Bernice was taken home to the Lord later that year. Sam enjoyed working on cars and traveling to area casinos for some much needed entertainment.
