He released an album of his hits "Broadway & Beyond" in 2014, reviewed as a "dazzling collection of twenty-three piano solos". He continued to play and entertain audiences throughout his life. Thom started showing horses in 1964. He was the state champion 3 years in a row with the Tennessee Walking Horse (Juvenile division) title. Thom was also an accomplished landscaper and florist. He was a real estate agent with Atlantic Properties International.
