Fordyce attended Spencer High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a retired employee of Libby-Owens-Ford Glass Company (Charleston, WV) as a glass cutter, Jackson County Board of Education, and West Virginia Department of Highways. Fordyce enjoyed Mountaineer football, WWE wrestling, and stock-car racing with his brother-in-law. He built several homes for his family. He was preceded in death by his father Okey Frances “Pete” Wyatt and mother Mable Farnsworth Wyatt; brothers Charles Wyatt and Clarence “Dick” Wyatt; sisters Madge (Mel) Mellinger, Ruth (Harold) Harris, and Wanda Drake; and brothers-in-law James Cottle, Jim Miller, Frank Lee, and Clifford Hays. Surviving is his wife of 49 years Alice (Hays) Wyatt; daughters Terri (Dean) Fahy of Jacksonville, FL, Janice Wyatt of Cottageville, WV, and Sarah (Jason) Miller of Ripley, WV; sisters Dorothy Lee of Norton, OH, March Cottle of Liverpool, WV, Elaine (Ivan) Miller of Barberton, OH, Doris Miller of Wadsworth, OH, and Barbara (Bernard) Greathouse of Uniontown, OH; brother-in-law Earl Drake of Charleston, WV; grandchildren Kevin, James, and Brian Pauley, Nate and Lexi Miller, and Beth (Ted) Banner; and great-grandchildren Theo, Chloe, and Aidan Banner. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Friends may call on the family from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Burial with Military Rites performed by the Jackson County Honor Guard will following in the Fairplain Cemetery. on May 24, 2016.4

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, George and Tida Slack Hays; and a stepson, Josh Rogers. He is survived by a son and his wife, Jeffery Ray and Kelli Hays of Meadowbrook; granddaughters, Amanda Faye and Cierra June Hays, both of Meadowbrook; sister, Alice Faye (Fordyce) Wyatt of Ripley; and brother and sister-in-law, George Richard "Dick" and Cindy Hays of Hardy, Ark. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 7, at the Myers Funeral Home Chapel, Elkview. Burial will be in Price Cemetery, Elkview. on May 6, 2010.4
