In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas James Kirby, and her sons, Tommy Kirby and Davy Kirby. Survivors include her son, Chad Kirby; Ida Odom; grandchildren, Shaun Swift, Natalie Schroeder, and Avery Page; siblings, Mark (Gloria) Harmon, and Vickie (Hubert) White.⁴

He will be much missed by his other favorite girl, his sheltie, Jasmine. Kyle also leaves many special aunts and uncles and cousins, plus numerous friends in Richmond and Roanoke, Virginia, where he was born and lived until he left to attend Virginia Tech. Kyle never met a stranger. He loved life. Kyle and Angle had built a home together in Richmond, Kyle always took great pride in his home. In his younger years, he played basketball, baseball, soccer and golf. He continued to play sports as an adult, with golf quickly becoming his favorite. Church was important to Kyle. He grew up in the Church of the Brethren. When he and Angie moved to Richmond, they attended several churches before finding a loving and supportive church family at Mount Vernon Baptist Kyle's life enriched the lives of all those he met His smile will be forever etched in our hearts. Even in death, Kyle reminds us: "Life is so fragile, Loss is so sudden; Hearts are so broken, But hope is so eternal!"      Martha Ann Hodges Vinton resident, Martha Ann Hodges Stilwell, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 24, 2021. Martha was born on June 10, 1926, in Franklin County. She had just turned 95. Martha is survived by her son, Michael Bowles and daughter-in-law, Sharon Bowles; stepson, Manuel Thomas "Tommy" Stilwell Jr; stepdaughters, Lisa Stilwell-Wilson and Leslie White; as well as grandchildren, Rainey Bowles and Shane Bowles; stepgrandchildren, Bailey Stilwell, Briley Stilwell, Kayla Robertson, Bobby Wilson, and Veronica Wilson; her great-granddaughter, Audrey Bowles; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Logan Robertson, Michael Wright, and Brady Robertson; and her close friends and long-time neighbors, Todd and Laura Bondurant. Martha was preceded in death by her daughter, Jean Bowles; her parents, Fred and Ella Hodges; her brothers, Herbert Hodges, Ernest Hodges, Luther Hodges, Henry Hodges, Wilbur Hodges and Wilford Hodges; and sisters, Ada Hodges Holt, Mildred Hodges Slocum, and Sarah Hodges Nichols; and her husband, Manuel Thomas Stilwell Sr. Martha worked at the C&P Telephone Company where she met her husband, Tom Stilwell, whom she was married for 24 years until his death in 2002. Martha's life revolved around her church and her family. She was a dedicated member of the Vinton Church of the Brethren at the time of her passing. She was known as a compassionate and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was always willing to help others whenever she could. She was preceded in death by her loving parents William Henry Logan, Jr. and Louise Bowles Logan. Wanda is survived by her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 52 wonderful years Buddy Anderson Eckles; her children Donald (Krystal) and Kristina (Dwayne); Grandchildren Kyndall, Autumn, Logan, Kolton, and Emerson. Wanda was a dedicated housewife and babysitter who always put others before herself. Her children and grandchildren were her world and made her most proud. She was always their biggest fan no matter what they were doing. Her biggest joy was watching her grandchildren on the diamond. Their Granny now has the best seat in the stadium to watch them play. Wanda never sat down there was always something to do as a housewife and spent most of her time cooking and making sure supper was on the table on time all while still babysitting. She was not only a babysitter for her own grandchildren but a babysitter to many. Funeral services will be conducted at Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren.
