She was a high school graduate and a member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of the Eastern Star in Clarion. Betty retired as a secretary for Quaker State in 1985. Prior to her employment with Quaker State, she worked in the Clarion County Courthouse as a secretary to the county commissioners. She married Walter Amsler. He preceded her in death on December 30, 1956. On April 25, 1969, Betty married William Wetzel. He preceded her in death on July 9, 1995. Betty is survived by five step children: Shirley Monrean of Knox; Pauline Wolfgang of Olney, Maryland; Daryl Wetzel and his wife, Helen, of Knox; Carl Wetzel and his wife, Cathy, of Butler and Beverly Knight and her husband, Dan, of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
