Doris preceded him in passing on Jan. 7, 2006. For 42 years, he worked for the Pittsburgh and Shawmut Railroad of Brookville. Bob was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, #983, in Brookville, Pa; the Roseville Independent Chapel, and the National Rifle Association. He loved to do gardening and landscaping. He was very good with his hands and enjoyed woodworking and could be found making different kinds of crafts. One of his favorite crafts to make was turkey calls. He loved his turkey calls and enjoyed giving them to his friends and family, encouraging them to practice and do better at calling them in. Bob loved to hunt and would be considered a world class turkey hunter; spring gobbler season was his most favorite time of the year. He loved his family and most especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bob is survived by two sons, James L. (Janice) Rowan of Brookville, Pa., and Thomas W. (Christine) Rowan of Harrisburg, Pa; one sister, Ruby Irwin of Euchipa, Calif; two brothers, Verlon (Virginia) Rowan and Richard "Ray" (Helen) Rowan of Brookville, Pa; five grandchildren: Brian (Shelley) Rowan, Brenda (Brad) Esposito, Lauren (Tyler) Glass, Mari (Chad) Chubb, and Michael Rowan; six great-grandchildren: Garrett Rowan, Brice Rowan, Alex Esposito, Zane Esposito, Alison Esposito, and Grayson Glass. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA 15825. A second visitation will take place from 10-11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016, at the Roseville Independent Chapel, 3381 Route 322, Brookville, PA 15825. Haney, 84, a resident of Sugarcreek Station, Sugarcreek Borough, died there peacefully at 2:20 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, following a period of declining health. Born Feb. 14, 1927, in Brookville, she was a beloved daughter of the late Jay and Clara Dodson Osborn. She attended the Brookville area schools and graduated from Brookville High School in 1945. For many years, Mrs. Haney had worked as a secretary at Polk Center until her retirement. She was a longtime faithful member of the Seventh Street Church of God in Franklin. As her health permitted, she looked forward to attending church, working puzzles and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. In her younger years, she enjoyed sunbathing and swimming in the family's pool. She was married on Jan. 26, 1959, to Paul L. Haney. He preceded her in death on April 7, 2010. She is survived by her children, Larry Satterlee and his wife Kathy of Oil City, David Satterlee and his wife Barb of Polk, Richard Haney and his wife Pam of Cooperstown and Steven Haney and his wife Diane of Franklin; her grandchildren, James Haney of Cooperstown, Jessica Williams and her husband Josh of Cooperstown, Jaclyn Haney of Franklin, Steven and Taylor Haney, both of Franklin, Annie Hawke and her husband Mark of Polk, Larry James Satterlee of Punxsutawney and Susan Satterlee Graham and her husband Tim of Leeper; several great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Rowen; and by two brothers, Robert and Richard Osborn. In accord of Mrs. Haney's wishes, there will be no public visitation. Friends and family may call from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk St., Franklin. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Linda Deeter officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens, Cranberry Township. on October 31, 2011.4

Haney, 74, a resident of 439 Liberty St., Franklin, died peacefully at 5:50 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at The Caring Place in Franklin. He was born Nov. 3, 1935, in Franklin, a beloved son of the late Lawrence and Luewella Haun Haney. Mr. Haney proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during peacetime and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal for his service to his country. Mr. Haney had worked for many years as an inspector at Joy Manufacturing Co. of Franklin and retired from there following 30 years of service. He was a member of First Church of God in Franklin. As his health permitted he enjoyed playing cards, most especially playing cards on the computer. He also enjoyed tinkering with radios and televisions in his spare time. He was married Jan. 26, 1959, to the former Vivian Osborn, who survives. In addition to his wife of 51 years, he is survived by two sons, Richard Haney and his wife, Pam, of Cooperstown, and Steven Haney and his wife, Diane, of Franklin; and two stepsons, Larry Satterlee and his wife, Kathy, of Oil City, and David Satterlee and his wife, Barb, of Polk. Also surviving are five grandchildren, James Haney of Cooperstown, Jessica Williams and her husband, Josh, of Cooperstown, Jaclyn Haney of Franklin, and Steven and Taylor Haney, both of Franklin; five great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Clarence, Lawrence and Harry Haney; and two sisters, Donna Hughes and Arlene Haggerty. In accord with Mr. Haney's wishes, there will be no public visitation. Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk St., Franklin, where funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. James R. Leichliter, pastor of First Church of God in Franklin, officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens, Cranberry Township. on April 8, 2010.4

Dick E. Osborne, member of U.S. Army L Company, 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, was lost in action Nov. 2, 1950, near Unsan, North Korea. He was accounted for on Jan. 27, 2012. Cpl. Osborne's remains were among the remains of six U.S. servicemen released during the Bush Administration by the Korean government into the care of a bipartisan U.S. delegation headed by former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs Anthony Principi, Director of Asian Affairs of the National Security Council Dr. Victor Cha and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Eurasian Affairs/U.S. Department of Defense James MacDougal during an April 11, 2007, peace mission to Seoul, South Korea. A solemn formal ceremony by the Korean government to mark the transfer of the six servicemen's remains was held in Seoul. A U.S. Honor Guard service was held in Honolulu, Hawaii, where the servicemen's remains were repatriated and thoroughly DNA tested. Born Feb. 5, 1933, in Brookville, Cpl. Osborne was a beloved son of the late Henry Jay Osborne and Clara Dodson Osborn. He is survived by a niece and six nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Osborne; and two sisters, Vivian Haney and Doris Rowan. Cpl. Osborne was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal (Korea), Republic of Korea Service Medal and Korean Presidential Unit Citation and Ribbon. He was accorded full U.S. military planeside Honors by members of the U.S. Army upon the arrival of his casketed remains at the Pittsburgh International Airport on Monday, June 4, from Honolulu, Hawaii. His casket remained under U.S. Army guard at the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk St., Franklin, until Wednesday, June 6. Cpl. Osborne was laid to rest beside his mother during a private graveside service Wednesday in Mount Tabor Cemetery in Sigel. He was accorded full military burial rites directly by the U.S. Army. on June 8, 2012.2

Robert worked in construction, drove bus and worked as a volunteer fireman in Pennsylvania before coming to Butte to work in the mines in 1970. He worked in the Berkeley Pit in Butte and later the Smelter in Anaconda. He also worked at a gold mine in Philipsburg, and finally he worked as a store clerk for 10 years until his retirement. He married Agnes Brocious in Pennsylvania, and they had two sons: Robert M. Jr. and Brenda Osborn of Bakersfield, Calif., and Bradley Osborn of Erie, Pa. He married his wife Lillian in Brookville, on April 6, 1957, and they had three daughters: Elizabeth and Harry Mencarelli of Bothel, Wash., Linda Jozovich of Bakersfield and Debra and Terry Schultz of Butte. Survivors include: sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris and Bob Rowan of Brookville and Vivian and Paul Haney of Franklin, Pa; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, James and Lavonne Martz and Lillian Martz all of Butte; numerous nieces and nephews; and 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place in Butte. Memorial services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Aldersgate United Methodist Church with the Rev. Esther Angel officiating. on January 17, 2004.6

Marty was a graduate of Academy High School and a member of the National Honor Society. As a younger woman, she played on the “Erie Skippers” Softball League. Marty also bowled during the Erie Skippers off season and continued bowling for different leagues throughout her life. She had bowled several 200 games. Marty also played basketball at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and after school intramural volleyball. She worked as an accountant/secretary at Bucyrus Erie, Bell Telephone in Cleveland, The Willis Company, Willis Distributing, United Oil, Erie Petroleum, and also at Hoovers Greenhouse transplanting flowers. Marty was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Erie where she sang in the choir and volunteered with the “Project Dignity” program. She loved gardening and growing her own vegetables. In addition to her parents, Marty was preceded in death by her husband Allison Andrew Dodson, Sr. on August 23, 2001, stepson Allison Andrew “Sonny” Dodson, Jr., stepdaughter Mary Ann Dodson, grandchild Tina Marie Horn, step-grandchildren Kimberly Jean Bitkowski and Tammy Lynn Bitkowski, and Roger Henry Dodson, step-great grandchildren Andrew Dylan Chatt and Tanis Rae Malinowski. A Memorial Service will be held 7 p.m. Friday, July 17th, at the Zaback-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula.
