Army, who was called home from Germany by the death of his father and remained at his mother's bedside on the advice of her physician; James Walton and David Walton of Ludlow; 15 grandchildren; one brother, Leonard Hulings, of Bradford; and two sisters, Mrs. Raymond Kraft, Kane, and Mrs. Walter Carlson, Erie. Friends may call at the John F. Hill funeral home at the regular visiting hours, 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 o'clock today. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Hill's, with the Rev. Jerry Woodcook of the Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment will take place in Ludlow cemetery. on September 13, 1954.6

He died Sept. 25, 1957. Mr. and Mrs. Prather formerly owned a farm in the Diamond area. She was a former member of the Fairview Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Vanderhoof of Warren and Mrs. Joseph (Della) Galletta of Titusville; a stepson, Raymond W. Prather of Hydetown; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Wayne (Mary) Battin of Meadville and Mrs. William (Stella) Poly of Guys Mills; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Twila, and two brothers, Harold and Orville. on June 22, 1988.6 She died on June 22, 1988 at Titusville, Crawford Co., Pennsylvania, at age 89.9,6

She was born April 15, 1900 at Vowinkel, Pa., and resided for the past 20 years in Warren. She was a member of the First Free Methodist Church and the Women's Missionary Society and the Dorcas SS Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellsworth L. Miller, in 1949. Survivors include two sons, Paul and George, both of Warren; three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Christine) Smith, Mrs. Vincent (Joyce) Smith, both of Warren, and Mrs. David (Dorothy) Taylor, of Clarendon; one brother, Orville Hulings of Albion, Pa; three sisters, Mrs. Dora Prather of Titusville, Mrs. Stella Poly of Guys Mills and Mrs. Mary Battin of Meadville. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, four great-gandchildren and several nieces and nephews. on November 11, 1970.3

Mrs. Carll spent her entire married life on their farm near Newmansville. She was the last surviving member of a family of eight. She ws a member of the Newmansville Free Methodist Church, where she served as Sunday School Superintendent and also as president of the Ella Black WCTU for many years. Mrs. Carll is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Marion (Ellen F.) Kerschbaumer of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Harold (Marguerite) Wagner of Tionesta, Mrs. Walter (Kathryn) Emert of Tionesta RD, Mrs. Grace L. Thompson of Oil City and Mrs. Horace (Alice) Hale of Alexandria, Tenn. Also surviving are six sons, John B. Carll of Bradford, Harry L. Carll of Ludlow, Gordon R. Carll of Oil City, Alfred L. Carll of Oil City and Albert A. Carll of Oswayo. Two sons and one daughter preceeded her in death. She is also survived by 39 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Sunday at the James K. Haslet Funeral Home In Tionesta. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Newmansville Free Methodist Church, Rev. Arnold McCracken, pastor of the Tionesta and Newmansville Free Methodist Churches will officiate. Interment will be in the Walters Cemetery in Newmansville. circa July 6, 1975.2

The funeral service will be held at the Newmansville Free Methodist Church at 2:30 p. m. Wednesday. Rev. E. A. Kern and Rev. David Shultzberger will officiate. Burial will be in the Walters Cemetery at Newmansville. on April 1, 1957.6

She also is survived by 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Carolyn Sivik and Marilyn Johnson; and by six brothers and four sisters. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Borland Funeral Home in Leeper. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Keith Doverspike, pastor of the Tylersburg Charge United Methodist Churches, officiating. Interment will be in Whig Hill Cemetery. on April 8, 2002.2
