Charles Roy Staly A funeral for Charles R. Staly of Depew, longtime hardware store operator, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2006 in Lancaster-Depew Chapel, Amigone Funeral Home, 6050 Transit Road, Depew. A former Grand Island, NY resident who attended Charlotte Sidway School on the Island, Mr. Staly died Saturday, November 18, 2006 in Millard Fillmore Hospital after a brief illness. He was 69. Born on Grand Island, Mr. Staley graduated from Tonawanda High school. He owned Charley's American Hardware, formerly on Genesee Street and later on Campbell Boulevard in Getzville. He retired May 31. Mr. Staly was a member of the Genesee Small Business Association and the Crow's Nest Fishing Club. Survivors include his beloved wife of 46 years, the former Judith M. Collins; three daughters, Barbara (Anthony) Bernardi, Karen (Joseph) Billittier and Diane (Lawrence Smith) Staly; a sister, Betty Ann; and a brother, Frederick (Nancy). Also survived by grandchildren: Amanda Bernardi and Joey Billittier.3 His Social Security Number was 081-30-7394.2 He was born on October 23, 1937 at Grand Island, Erie Co., New York.2 He married Judith M. Her married name was Pazamickas.1 Betty Ann Staly married Anthony Pazamickas.2,4 Betty Ann Staly was born on October 9, 1941 at Buffalo, Erie Co., New York.1 She died on February 16, 2017 at Tennessee at age 75.5 She Betty Pazamickas passed away on February 16, 2017 at the age of 75 yrs. Betty moved to Florida in 1985 then moved to Tenn in 2015. Betty is survived by her husband Rob (buzzard) and daughter Carol. Betty was involved with the Eagles 3137 and the D.A.V.A. Manatee #18 service will be held at the D.A.V. Sunday at 1:00 p.m. on March 12, 2017. on February 24, 2017.5

Anthony Pazamickas was buried at Manasota Memorial Park, Bradenton, Manatee Co., Florida.4,2 He married Betty Ann Staly, daughter of Cecil Frederick Staly and Bessie A. Marshall.1,5 Anthony Pazamickas was born on November 20, 1920 at Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.1,4,2,3 He died on November 5, 2000 at Bradenton, Manatee Co., Florida, at age 79.1,4,2 He A memorial service will be held Tuesday for Anthony Pazamickas, a former Buffalo Avenue resident who died Nov. 5, 2000, in Bradenton, Fla., at age 79. Pazamickas, who had moved permanently to Bradenton last year after spending winters there for 15 years, was stricken in his home and died in Manatee Memorial Hospital. He was born in Russellton, Pa., and attended school there. He moved to Niagara Falls in 1940. Pazamickas served in the U.S. Army for two years during World War II. He was stationed in Trinidad. He worked as a machinist at Carborundum Co. for 42 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of Carborundum's 25-Year Club. Pazamickas was an avid golfer and bowler. Survivors include his wife, the former Betty Staly of Bradenton; six sons, Thomas of Bradenton, Robert of Watertown, and Anthony Jr., John, Peter and William, all of Niagara Falls; three daughters, Mary Bryan of Niagara Falls and Janet McNamara and Carol Gillenwater, both of Bradenton; a brother, Peter of Petaluma, Calif; a sister, Anna Levy of Wilkes-Barre, Pa; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Labuda Funeral Home, 356 Portage Road. Burial will be in Manasota Memorial Park, Florida. on November 20, 2000.1

Her married name was Staly.3 Jane A. McNerney married Fredrick Warren "Frederick" Staly, son of Cecil Frederick Staly and Bessie A. Marshall.3 Jane A. McNerney was born on March 21, 1921 at Rochester, Monroe Co., New York.1,2 She and Fredrick Warren "Frederick" Staly were divorced in November, 1967 at Lake Co., Florida.3 Jane A. McNerney died on January 19, 2017 at Maitland, Orange Co., Florida, at age 95.2 She Staly, Jane - age 95 of Maitland FL; passed away peacefully on January 19, 2017. Jane was born in Rochester, NY on March 21, 1921 to the late Justin and Jeanette McNerney. After high school graduation she attended William Smith College and received an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts in 1943. Later in life she attended the University of Rochester, Rollins College and Jacksonville University ultimately graduating from the University of North Florida with double Bachelor of Art degrees in Political Science (1973), Sociology (1974) and a Master of Arts in Counseling (1975). She was a fiercely independent spirit, a person that stood-up against social injustice and was a civil rights activist, receiving an award from the City of Jacksonville, FL for helping quell a riot. She was a lifelong social worker. As Manager of Orange County Mental Health Services she implemented the Baker Act for crisis mental health services. Jane was Past Board Chairman of the Mental Health Association of Orange County (1967) and an active Board Member, Florida Association for Mental Health (1950's). In 1950 she participated in the White House Conference on Child Development. Jane was a champion of those less fortunate where she touched thousands of lives while working for the Central Florida Sheltered Workshop, Goodwill Industries, Jewish Family and Children's Services, Young Women's Christian Association and Orange County Government. Before she retired she was the supervisor for the Orange County Jail Mental Health block where she provided mental health counseling to inmates. Jane was also a civil rights activist in the 1960's and 1970's where she re-established a Center for African-Americans in Jacksonville, FL and received a Race Relations Award from Grace Missionary Baptist Church and Christian Brotherhood award from African-American Church both in Jacksonville, FL. After her retirement she remained active in local politics and the Maitland Senior Center where she led the writer's group for over 20 years, even after losing most of her eyesight. In 2011 President Barack Obama awarded her the President's Lifetime Achievement Award and on her 90th birthday the City of Maitland Proclaimed March 21, 2011 as Jane M. Staly Day in the City of Maitland. Jane had a very diverse group of friends who were like an extended family to her. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert McNerney. She is survived by her son, Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly and his wife Debbie, Palm Coast, FL; her daughter Judy Weber, Mohegan Island, ME; her grandchildren Lauren, Matt, John and Tom and four great-grandchildren Erin, James, Kavi and Sachin and step-granddaughter Diana Wolf and her husband Jerrid and three step-great grandchildren Aiden, Lexi and Adalynn. on January 24, 2017.2
