Craig McCurdy of Fairbanks, Alaska; 22 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Irene L. Ziegler, a sister, Mrs. Mary Velma Fultz; and a niece, Marian E. Ziegler. Friends may call at the Gordon B. He was born in Venus on July 25, 1920, a son of Edward and Minnie Wise Ziegler. He lived in that area most of his life. For three years he was a resident of Rockland and two years ago moved to Franklin. For many years, Mr Ziegler was self-employed as a truck driver and for 14 years he worked for the M. C. Strickland Co. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Air Force for three years. He was stationed at Lackland Air Base and also in England and France. He and the former Genevieve Maxine McDonald were married on July 29, 1946, and she survives, along with his mother, Mrs. Minnie Ziegler; two sons, Leroy Ziegler, Jr, of Franklin, and Ronald Ziegler, at home; [and] seven daughters, Mrs. Larry (Judith) Lepley, of Franklin; Mrs. William (Mary) England, of Seneca, RD 1; Mrs. Barry (Marian) Goughler, of Franklin, RD 1; Mrs. James (Donna) Firster, of Oil City, RD 2; Lily, Brenda and Vicki Ziegler, at home. Also surviving are two brothers, Earl D., of Oil City, RD 2, [and] Ralph, of Oil City; two sisters, Mrs. Eli (Marian) Salsgiver, of Polk, RD 1, [and] Mrs. Delbert (Dorothy) Moon, of Franklin; and four grandchildren. An infant child is deceased. The body is at the Faller Funeral Home, Fryburg, where friends may call. Funeral services will be conducted there at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Lemuel Rodgers, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene in St. Petersburg, officiating. Interment will be in Venus Cemetery. on December 23, 1974.³

Tuesday March 10, 2009 surrounded by his family following an extended battle with cancer. Born in Oil City, Pa. on Feb. 24, 1947 son of the late Leroy E. Ziegler Sr. and Genevieve McDonald Ziegler. He attended Oil City Schools. On disability due to ill health, Mr. Ziegler was last employed as a laborer by the Strickland Constructiuon Co. He was a Christian. His main enjoyment in life was tinkering with old cars. Mr. Ziegler was married to Joyce Gibbons of New Brighton on 3/25/1983 in Tionesta and she survives along with 6 children, Jeffrey Ziegler, Oil City, Jennifer Ziegler, TX, Jolene Ziegler, Oil City, Michael Ziegler, Phoenix, AZ, Kimberly Ziegler, Oil City, Amber Ziegler, Oil City, 1 grandchild, Gilbert Dahlstrom, Oil City, 1 brother and spouse, Ronald and Roxanne Ziegler, Cooperstown,six sisters and spouses, Mary England, Franklin and companion Bill Lewis, Titusville, Jackie and Barry Goughler, Rocky Grove, Donna and Dennis Slatton, Zebulon, NC, Lily and Larry Krizon, Coperstown, Brenda and Dan Pressley, Quakertown, Vicki and Rick Jackson, Titusville, 2 brothers-in-law, Larry E.      Marian Elizabeth "Jackie" Ziegler Marian Elizabeth Goughler, affectionately known as Jackie by her friends and family, age 63, of Dallas, GA, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 18, 2017, at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with her family by her side. Jackie was born on March 28, 1954, in Oil City, PA, to Mr. Leroy Ziegler and Mrs. Genevieve M. McDonald. Jackie graduated from Cranberry Area High School in 1974 and worked many years as a caregiver and in childcare. Jackie was a proud wife, mother, grandmother and friend to everyone she met. She was always smiling, laughing and never missed an opportunity to make a new memory with her loved ones. Jackie knew the value of being prepared and was always on time. You could depend on her. Jackie always made the best of any situation and did so with grace and love. She was most proud of being independent, strong and teaching her children and grandchildren the same. She expected the best and she gave her best in return. Jackie was survived by her beloved husband, Mr. Barry A. Goughler, Sr. of Dallas, GA; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Barry (Brandi) Goughler, Jr. of Dallas, GA and Shawn (Emily) Goughler of Chattanooga, TN; four grandchildren, Caiti, Nick, Logan and Claire; siblings, Mary England, Lilly Krizon, Ronald Ziegler, Brenda Pressley and Vicki Jackson. Many other friends and family members also survive. In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her brother, Leroy Eugene Ziegler; and two sisters, Judy Lepley and Donna Slatton.⁵ Her married name was Goughler.¹ She married Barry A. Ziegler was born in 1955 at Erie, Erie Co., Pennsylvania.³ She died on September 10, 2014 at Zebulon, Wake Co., North Carolina.³ She ZEBULON, N.C. – On Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, the Lord took Donna M. Slatton home to be with the angels. After a long battle with C.O.P.D., Donna passed away peacefully in her home. Mrs. Slatton was born in 1955 in Erie to Leroy and Maxine McDonald Ziegler. Donna’s surviving family members are: her spouse, Dennis P. Slatton; three sons, Jason C. Firster, Pennsylvania; Jeremy C. Slatton, Texas; and Andrew P. Slatton, North Carolina; a daughter, Felicia A. Slatton, North Carolina; and eight grandchildren. She also leaves five sisters, Mary England, Titusville; Jackie Goughler, Georgia; Lily Krizon and Ronnie Ziegler, both Cooperstown, Pa; Brenda Pressley, Quakertown, Pa; and Vicki Jackson, Oil City. Preceding Donna in death were her parents; a sister, Judy Lepley, and a brother, Leroy “Gene” Ziegler. Donna was employed at Nomacorc wine cork company of Zebulon, where she was a lab technician for several years. Donna’s family held a small private funeral service in Wendell, N.C. She was laid to rest at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Zebulon. on September 30, 2014.³
