Mr. Gilkey was a member of the American Legion in Knox, Clarion County; and a life member of the Hickory Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6166 and the Mercer County chapter of ABATE. Mr. Gilkey served in the Army during the Vietnam conflict. He retired from Progressive Power Technology as a numerical control programmer. He is survived by: his wife, Sherrie Gilkey, at home; his mother, Helen Elizabeth Gilkey, Hermitage; and his daughter, Cynthia Ann Gilkey, West Middlesex. He was preceded in death by his father. Service: Funeral service with full military honors at 11 a.m. Wednesday (8-11-10) in the funeral home with the Rev. William Knechtel of Lebanon Presbyterian Church, Lackawannock Township, officiating. Interment: Haywood Cemetery, West Middlesex. on August 10, 2010.³
