Perdue, 78, of Roanoke County, Va., passed away into the hands of the Lord on Sunday, March 26, 2023. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey E. "Ed" and Vola A. Sloan, and her brother, Charley H. "Harvey" Sloan. Florence is survived by her daughter, Karen A. Hartman (Benjamin); her grandchildren, Jordan D. Hartman, Morgan D. Hartman-Bolte (Henry); her sister, Marie P. Wray; her brother, Forrest E. Sloan (Sandra); her nieces, Dana Ferguson (Bobby), Mandy Champney (Craig), Missie Boitnott (Freddie), Beth Turner (Tom); her nephew, Charley H. "Chuck" Sloan (Carol). Florence's family wishes to thank Carilion Clinic Hospice-Roanoke for their compassion in caring for Florence. There will be a graveside service at the Rierson-Willett-Sloan Cemetery at 7529 Apple Grove Lane, Roanoke, Va. on March 31, 2023.³
