In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen J. Smith, who he married Oct. 27, 1975, and who passed away Aug. 17, 2006. SMITH - Friends of Ronald Fredrick "Pappis" Smith, who died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, Wednesday from 5 to 6 p.m. Services immediately will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with Brenda Sommerville, friend of the family and mother of Ron's son-in-law, officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. on January 3, 2011.¹
