Services will be 9 a.m., Friday, April 13, at the Carpenter Chapel, Dover Air Force Base Housing, Dover. Burial will be at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. on April 11, 2012.4

She and her husband were members of Lebanon Presbyterian Church, Lackawannock Township, where she belonged to the women's group. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, crafts and cooking. Survivors include: a daughter, Roxanna Mild and her husband, John, West Middlesex; a son, Ron Lucas and his wife, Visitacion, Martinsburg, W.Va; a sister, Florence Bruenjes, Jupiter, Fla; three grandchildren, Amanda, Audrey and Friendly; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, Gilbert Gessner and Harold Mitchell; and three sisters, Anna Beebe, Mildred Campbell and Thelma Nicklin. She enjoyed watching westerns on television and working through her puzzle books. She loved roses. The most important part of her life was her family. Betty is survived by a daughter, Cindy Gray of St. Petersburg, Florida; four sons, Kenneth Byerly of Sigel, Ray Byerly of Sigel, Steve (Tracy) Byerly of Kaletown, Pa., and Dave (Erin) Byerly of Sigel; six grandchildren, Ricky, Angie, Kalin, Cory, Phillip and MacKenzie; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Brown; and a sister, Ruby Brown. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville PA 15825. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, also at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, beginning at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Paul Ritchey officiating. Interment will take place at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Eldred Township, Jefferson County. on May 15, 2016.3

Also surviving are a grandson, Ryan Voland of Woodland, who is now serving with the U.S. Air Force in Germany and a half-brother, Linn Reaghart and his wife, Karen of Clarion.
