Charles was born on June 8, 1922 in Johnstown, PA to the late Chester J. and Kathryne S. (Evans) Singer. He lived in Colver, PA and worked in the coal mines for several years before moving to Canton in 1960 where he became employed by the Timken Company until he retired in 1982. Charles served in the Navy during World War II aboard the USS Merrimac. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Imogene (Jean) Singer, and two brothers, Joseph and Chester Singer II. Charles is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jim Stambaugh of Louisville; son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Jean Singer of Canton; five grandsons, Matt and Brett Stambaugh and Jared, Adam and Michael Singer. Charles was a wonderful caring husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel with Chaplain Paul Rudy officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. on September 24, 2005.6

It is with profound sorrow that her family mourns the passing of Evelyn Neadeau, but celebrate in that for those 85 years, Evelyn filled them with happiness, eternal optimism, boundless generosity, and always a great concern for her family and many friends. On this day, October 19, 2000, she fell asleep and went home to live with God. Born in Detroit, Mich., July 6, 1915, the eldest of nine children to Mable Malinda (Henry) and John Davison, of Pa. She is predeceased this day in the Kingdom of Heaven, by her parents and beloved daughter, Arlene Ann Neadeau; her beloved son, William Eugene Neadeau; her ex-husband, William James Neadeau; her much loved sisters and brothers, Inez Paul, Imogene Singer, Twiletta Marshall, Irvin Davison, and Jack Davison. As the eldest daughter, she was a constant help to her parents in raising her younger brothers and sisters. Her surviving brother is Ronald Henry Davison, Canton, Ohio, and sisters, Irene Williams and Janet Orange, Fla. Evelyn married William James Neadeau, October 21, 1933, in Ebensburg, Pa. To this marriage was born, Arlene Ann (deceased February 1940, at the precious age of 4), Marjune Joan Iooss of Sharpsburg, Ga., Carol Evelyn Brooks, Endicott, N.Y., twins, William Eugene Neadeau, Fenton, Mich, (deceased April 4, 2000) and Diana Jean Zimmerman, Castle Rock, Colo. She was grandmother to nine grandchildren, Carol Iooss Rossi, Major Steven Iooss, Yvonne Iooss Marsh, Julie Brooks Dunham, Jeffrey Brooks, Kelly Neadeau Caldwell, Kevin Neadeau, Scott Zimmerman, Captain Jason Zimmerman; and seven greatgrandchildren, Skyler Dunham, Michael Rossi, Jr., Zachary Rossi, Andrew Iooss, David Iooss, Zachary Caldwell, and Connor Caldwell. Raising her children in Whitney Point, N.Y., she encouraged all her children to graduate from college and taught values of "whatever you do in life, do to the best of your ability." Evelyn was a faithful member of the Methodist Church in Whitney Point and President of its' Methodist Women's Christian Society. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Dearborn, Mich. She was the Elementary School secretary in the Whitney Point Central School for many years, past Matron in Tioughnioga Chapter 531 Order of the Eastern Star and lifetime member. She was President of the PTA and received an Honorary Life Membership. She was also a member of the Women's Home Bureau. Evelyn excelled in scholastic merit in school, graduating at fifteen. She was an avid reader, loved crossword puzzles, enjoyed crocheting, loved to cook and bake, as well as flower gardening. She also loved watching and feeding the many species of birds that would arrive at her feeder and instilled that love into her children. Evelyn divorced after her children were raised and was then employed in high regard by Ford Motor Company, Dearborn, Mich. She retired at the age of 70 after having been promoted for her outstanding contributions to the company. At the age of 79, she returned to N.Y., residing at Castle Gardens in Vestal, N.Y., then later at Elizabeth Church Manor. Our beloved mother, will be laid to rest near her darling daughter, Arlene, and next to her mother and father at the Ebensburg, Pa. cemetery. She will be deeply missed. May our precious mother be happy in her new home in Paradise. Evelyn's family would like to express their heart felt thanks and deep gratitude to Head Nurse Megan and her wonderful and hard working second floor, day and night staff, at Elizabeth Church Manor. Their sincere compassion and caring truly make them "Angels in Disguise." on October 22, 2000.4

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Irvin and Jack Davison and four sisters, Jean Singer, Evelyn Neadeau, Inez Paul and Twiletta Gorney-Marshall. Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Helen Davison of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald Henry and Mary Davison Jr. of Massillon, John Bryan Davison of North Canton, Steven and Joyce Davison of North Canton; two daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia Davison of Louisville, Susan and Kim Harmon of Louisville; two sisters, Janet Orange and Irene Williams both of Hobe Sound, FL; stepchildren, Gary (Louise) Young, Kenneth (Cindy) Young, Steven (Terry) Young, David Young and Brian (Gwen) Young. There are 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren also surviving. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 8 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. on December 10, 2003.6
