Born March 12, 1899, in Missouri, he was a son of Thomas and Maggie Cobb. He was a resident here more than 50 years and had been a car salesman until retirement four years ago. He was then employed as a Deputy US Marshall three years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mr. Cobb is survived by his widow, Mrs. Gertrude Cobb of the home; a sister Mrs. Alice Sale and two brothers, Henry Cobb and Charles Cobb, all of St. Joseph, MO. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.3 He was buried at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1011 North DeSoto Road, Leavenworth, Leavenworth Co., Kansas.2,3 He was born on March 12, 1899 at Buchanan Co., Missouri.3,4 He married Ethel Pearl Poff, daughter of James Fleming Poff and Eliza Elnora "Nora" Simpson, on December 12, 1917 at Buchanan Co., Missouri.1,5 James Emmettt Cobb died on December 28, 1968 at Leavenworth, Leavenworth Co., Kansas, at age 69.3
