Born May 2, 1925, in Valley City, N.D., she was raised and educated there and graduated from high school. During World War II, she worked in the offices of a shipyard in Vancouver, Wash. She married Bryan Brown in Newport, Ore. He died of cancer in 1960. Later, she married Albin Thompson, who died of a heart attack in 1976. She moved to Casper and worked in data processing at Natrona County Hospital and as a bookkeeper in a sheet metal shop. Nations On June 19, 1982, she married Charles Nations of Lander. They lived in Lander until settling in Florence in January 1993. During her lifetime, she also had been a resident of Worland and Bakersfield, Calif. She was a member of the Lutheran Church and was known for her friendliness. She enjoyed collecting Teddy bears, Santa Clauses and cookbooks; and had won numerous awards and blue ribbons for her ceramics. Survivors include her husband of 25 years of Florence; three children, Scott Brown of Gresham, Ore., Brent Brown of Dickinson, N.D., and Kristine Printz of Pagosa Springs, Colo; two stepchildren, Joyce Hornecker of Lander and James Nations of Casper; and 14 grandchildren. In addition to her first two husbands, she as preceded in death by her parents; and a stepson, Charles "Chuk" Nations, in April. on July 1, 2005.³

Born in Jefferson County, Kentucky, Buddy came to this area in 1965 from Bowling Green, Kentucky. A retired educator, he taught at New Smyrna Beach Junior High School, Ormond Beach Junior High School, and New Smyrna Beach Senior High School. In addition, he owned and operated Vogue Cleaners in New Smyrna Beach. Buddy was a member of the Volusia County Teachers Organization, a life member of the Anglers' Yacht Club, and enjoyed golf, fishing, and boating. Survivors include his wife, Diane; daughter, Shannon L. Daniel of New Smyrna Beach; a son, Robert C. Hester of Oviedo; two sisters, Beverly Haverstock of Louisville, Kentucky, and Gayle Lowry or Ocala; and four grandchildren. The funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 28 at the Settle-Wilder New Smyrna Beach Chapel, with the Reverend Robert C. Brown, Coronado Community United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Edgewater-New Smyrna Cemetery. on January 25, 2010.⁵

     Paul A. Kumley was born on February 6, 1912 at Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Co., Michigan.^2,3 He married Nina Gwenavere Hill, daughter of Ross Hill and Nettie Hamilton, on October 25, 1935 at Indiana.^2,4 Paul A. Kumley died on April 21, 1986 at Battle Creek, Calhoun Co., Michigan, at age 74.^3,4 He PAW PAW - Paul A. Kumley, 74, of 36154 Valley Drive, Paw Paw, died Monday at Community Hospital, Battle Creek. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the First Christian Church, Paw Paw, of which he was a member. His body has been cremated. Arrangements are by Hawley Funeral Home, Paw Paw. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the church. Mr. Kumley was born Feb. 6, 1912, in Kalamazoo. He was retired from Clawson Manufacturing Co., Kalamazoo, where he was a tool and die maker. Survivors include: his wife, the former Nina Hill, whom he married Oct. 26, 1935; two daughters Mrs. Roy (Donis) Hatcher of Clarkston, Mich, and Mrs. Jean Billings of Waterford, Mich; one son, Paul of Cedar Springs, Iowa; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. on April 23, 1986.⁴

     Judy Dell Kumley was born on June 3, 1938 at Lagro Township, Wabash Co., Indiana.² She died on July 13, 1951 at Bloomfield, Oakland Co., Michigan, at age 13.²
