Authorities said he apparently dozed at the wheel. The body was not found until some time after the crash. on September 17, 1955.3 He died on September 17, 1955 at Denison, Crawford Co., Iowa, at age 41.1,2,3 He Thebert Arnold Dies In Iowa Auto Wreck - Rev. Ernest E. McGinnis will lead funeral services tomorrow at 3 p.m. in the Assembly of God Church for Thelbert Arnold, 41, who died Sunday in an Iowa auto accident. Mr. Arnold, familiarly known here as "Salesman Sam," was on a country-wide sales trip. He died near Denison, Iowa. A World War II veteran, he will be buried at Cottonwood Cemetery with military rites conducted by local veterans' organizations. Mr. Arnold was born in Wyoming and had lived here about 10 years. Survivors include his wife Isabel of Clemenceau; a daughter, Thelberta; a brother, Gilbert of Warren, Pa; and a sister, Ellie of Springfield, Ill. on September 22, 1955.2
