(Marge) Allen, 88, of Newport, departed this life Sunday evening, November 18, 2012, at Kroontji Health Care Center in Blacksburg. Born at Highland Park, Mich. on August 2, 1924, she was a daughter of the late William and Freda Stevenson. She was retired from VT Sponsor Programs, had been a member of Newport Christian Church, Newport Women's Club, had been a member of the Newport Fair Board and had one of the fairs dedicated to her, and remained a huge Virginia Tech Hokie fan. Allen and Kimberly R. Allen; her daughter, Sally A Farrier; and her brother Ross Stevenson. She leaves to cherish her memory her son and daughter-in-law, Terry L. and Sabrina C. Allen, of Christiansburg; her daughters-in-law, Diane Allen, of Max Meadows, Sheree Chafin Williams, of Chilhowie, and Becky L. Michael, of Christiansburg; her son-in-law, Martin P. Farrier, of Newport; her grandchildren Mart Farrier, Jenny Farrier, Geof and Shannon Allen, Joshua and E J Zimmerman Allen, Sarah Allen, Mark and Kristy Allen, Seth Davis, and Shay Davis; her brother Wally Stevenson; and her nieces Mary Glen McCall and Joyce Marion. He was preceded in death by his father, Delmer Allen; his sister, Sally Farrier; his brother, Kimberly Allen and his brother, Geoffrey Allen. Gregory died at home after an extended illness. In addition to his wife, he is survived by and mourned by his mother, Marjorie Allen; his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Kristy Allen; his daughter, Sarah Allen; his sisters-in-law, Rebecca Allen and Deborah Allen; his brother, Terry Allen; and his brother-in-law, Marty Farrier. Others who will miss Greg greatly are his parents-in-law, Edgar and Edith Stockton; his sisters-in-law and their husbands, Carol and Donald Mackinder and Sandra and Harley Easter; his brother-in-law and his wife, Glenn and Penny Stockton; his dedicated caretakers, Ann Correll and Inez Akers; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family wished to express its gratitude to the nurses and caretakers at Virginia's Home Health and Hospice Care of Rural Retreat. Gregory was a graduate of Virginia Tech and taught agriculture in Frederick County and in Bath County. He was building fund treasurer and former member of Calvary Baptist Church in Millboro, Va. where he also actively helped build its addition; and in recent years he has been a member of First Baptist Church in Hillsville where services will be held Sunday, February 17, 2002 at 2 p.m. and will be conducted by the Rev. Steve Stephenson. Interment will follow at the West End Cemetery in Wytheville. on February 19, 2002.3

Due to his health, Terry retired from the Maintenance Department as Supervisor of Roofer for Virginia Tech after many years of faithful service to the school. In his spare time, Terry loved to ride his motorcycle, especially riding alongside his wife, Sabrina. Terry truly enjoyed traveling, in a drop of a moment, his bags were packed and ready to go, whether it was on land or water, he never missed an opportunity to see the world. Terry was a people person and one that never liked to miss a meal; he enjoyed food and having his Dr. Pepper. He was a member of Harbor Hope Pentecostal Church in Christiansburg. In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by all of his siblings: Gregory, Geoffrey, Kimberly Allen and Sally Farrier. Services to celebrate the life of Terry Allen will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church in Christiansburg with Pastor Richard Kingrea and Pastor Roger Henderson officiating. A time of gathering and sharing will be held Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church. Graveside services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Newport Cemetery at Newport. Those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jackson Thorn, Cody Clemson, Bobby Owens, Pete Smith, Kevin Shrader and Trent Chinault. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Hale, Roger Wimmer, Johnny Fitts, Chris Stevers, Duke Sarver, Danny Sowers and Dwight "Digger" Shelor. on November 20, 2013.2

     Mary Masel "Frances" Johnston was buried at Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg, Giles Co., Virginia.2 She was born on June 17, 1923 at Trigg, Giles Co., Virginia.2,3,5 She married Glen Winfred Allen, son of Mode Lee Allen and Ida Mae Hines, on August 14, 1948 at Trigg, Giles Co., Virginia.1,2 As of August 14, 1948,her married name was Allen.1 Mary Masel "Frances" Johnston died on March 21, 2012 at Blacksburg, Virginia, at age 88.2,5,4 She Mary Masel "Frances" Johnston Allen, 88 of Pearisburg, went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in Blacksburg. She is rejoicing in heaven with her lifelong friend and husband, Glen W. Allen, her parents, Shuler and Masel Johnston, and two brothers, James and Clinton Johnston. Mrs. Allen was born in Trigg, graduated from Eggleston High School, then Radford College and began teaching in the Giles County School System in 1947. Her love for teaching and for her students continued her whole life. She was a member of The First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg, serving in the Choir and other church groups. She will be greatly missed by two daughters, Mary Glenn and husband, Jack McCall, of Pembroke and Joyce and husband, Larry Marion, of Pearisburg; three grandchildren, Kristi and husband, Jason Porter, David and wife, Kelley McCall, Lori and husband, Eric Shannon; great-grandchildren, Layla, Jaden, Parker, Audya, Scarlett; one sister, Alva J. Lucas, of Blacksburg; and four sisters-in-law, Carolyn Johnston, of Blacksburg, Georgia Allen, of Jonesville, Bobbi Johnston, of Roanoke and Marge Allen, of Blacksburg. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg, with Dr. Brad Scott and Dr. Fred L. Austin, officiating with entombment following in the Birchlawn Abbey in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the First United Methodist Church on Saturday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. before the service. The family would like to thank the staff of Kroontje Health Care Center who lovingly cared for Frances. on March 23, 2012.2
