Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Brumley-Mills Chapel in Hartshorne with the Rev. Daniel Miller officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of Hartshorne. Born Oct. 30, 1932, in Lynwood, she was the daughter of Oscar and Mamie James. She married Clyde Dean Monroe on May 5, 1954, in Grapevine, Texas. They lived in Hartshorne until 1958 then moved to Carlsbad, N.M. She resided there and worked as a beautician until she retired. She moved to Henryetta in 2011. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Gene and Dona Monroe, of Henryetta; two granddaughters and spouses, Tisha Lynn and Alfie Hinojos, Carlsbad, N.M., and Misty Kay and Danny Miller, Hobbs, N.M; one sister, Esther Hanna, Fort Rooker, Ala; one brother, Mike James, of Haileyville; great-grandchildren, Preston Gene Burns, Katelyn Martinez, Taylor Martinez and Breelyn Proctor, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Dean Monroe; parents, Oscar and Mamie James; sister, Jerrie Melton, and brothers, Lonnie, Bill, Leroy, Oscar Jr. and Gene Lee James. Pallbearers will be David Spears, John David Spears, Justin L. James, Rodney Watson, Bill James Jr., Ed James and Brad James. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Dean Koleszar, Timothy Koleszar and Johnny Joe James. on April 9, 2014.2

She grew up in Dow and attended school there and then graduated from Haileyville High School. She married Earl Connor Jr. on Jan. 13, 1929 (should be 1939), in McAlester and when he went into the armed forces she lived in this area. After the war they moved to Tulsa where they lived for more than 50 years. Her husband preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 1993, and she moved to Oklahoma City in 2005 to be near family. She was also related to many of the Barnes' in this area. She was of the Methodist faith and was an accomplished pianist. She played the piano at the Dow Methodist Church as a teenager and loved playing for her children and friends later in life. She was also a wonderful cook and homemaker and will be missed by her family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Leslie Lowe. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny D. and Linda Connor, of Tulsa; two daughters and sons-in-law, Earlene J. and John Henry Cook, of Hartshorne, and Leta Mae and Bob Jones, of Oklahoma City. Also, seven grandchildren, Debra Deasy, of Tulsa, Barbara Jacobs, of Tulsa, Belinda Nichols, of Bristow, Tommy Connor and his wife, Stacy, of Owasso, Diane Jones, of Oklahoma City, Christy Castell and her husband, Steve, of Oklahoma City, and Sarah Cook, Austin, Texas; six great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Steve Castell, Roger Shaw, Bob Jones, Henry Cook, Jacob Jones and Tommy Connor. Honorary pallbearers will be Cleon Dugger, Raymond Dugger Jr., Leslie Smith, Tommy Smith and Ronnie Wallace. on January 29, 2007.2

He graduated from Hartshorne High School in the class of 1964. He continued his education at Eastern Oklahoma State College earning an associates degree in electronic engineering. He married Patricia R. Kittrell on Sept. 4, 1970 in Texas. He worked for Oklahoma Aerotronics in Haileyville before beginning to work as a lineman for Public Service Company of Oklahoma, then working in construction. In 1973, he and his wife opened Dugger Realty in Eufaula; later, in 1975, they moved their office to McAlester. They continued their career in the real estate business until retirement in 2002. He enjoyed being outdoors turkey and quail hunting and trail riding on his horses and mules. He always enjoyed animals, especially his horses and dogs. He also enjoyed taking photographs, but he most enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of the Canadian Masonic Lodge No. 22. Survivors include his wife, Patricia "Pat" Dugger, of the home; daughter, Tammy Larsen, of Edmond; three grandchildren, Brian Michaelson, of Placerville, Calif., Eric Michaelson, of Placerville, Calif., Morgan Larsen, of Edmond. And, sister and brother-in-law, Nona Faye Thompson and husband, George, of Oklahoma City; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Sr. and Thelma Dugger, and his brother, Cleon Dugger. Pallbearers include Kyle Hale, Joel Kerns, Todd Parker, Charles Holt, Don Hass and Paul Factor. Honorary pallbearers include Jerry Perry, Allen Nixon, Larry Alexander, Jr. Johnson, Jerry Smith, Bob Cathy, Charlie Collier, Don Nichols, Euell Center and Bob Woolman. on May 13, 2011.1
