Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon (Friday) at the Wickenburg Chapel for Anton Rubash, widely known mining man of this community, who passed away at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Community Hospital. Dr Charles S. Poling will officiate and burial will be in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mr. Rubash, who was a hard rock miner in the old Octave Mine from 1936 until 1941, had been in ill health for nearly 12 years and had been hospitalized frequently in recent years. He was born August 28, 1887, in Chadron, Neb., and worked in coal mines in Oklahoma before coming to this section in 1936. He had many friends throughout this area and was highly regarded by all. Ten children survive. They are Arthur, Anton, Jr., Danny and Jimmy, all of Wickenburg; Mrs. Ethel Monroe of McAlester, Okla; Mrs. Ruby McLaughlin of Phoenix; Grover of Cortez, Colo; Mrs. Helen Carter of Holbrook, Ariz; Mrs. Phyllis Onstott of Adak, Alaska, and Mrs. DorIa Onstott of San Diego, Calif. One brother, Joe Rubash of Pensacola, Fla., also survives, and the surviving sisters are Mrs. Annie McCutcheon of McAlester, and Mrs. Ethel Sumpter and Mrs Mary Smith, both living in California. Twenty-one grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Rubash passed away in 1947. on December 24, 1954.5

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hartshorne and enjoyed crocheting and reading. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia June and Bob Riley, of Hartshorne; daughter-inlaw, Alice Connor, Fort Smith, Arkansas; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four greatgreat- grandchildren, and one brother, Burnis Leroy Cook, Las Vegas, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her husband, Erbert Connor; son, Charles Connor; parents, Willard and Louise Cook, and two sisters, Mattie Lee Pinson and Juanita Sexton Warren. on December 18, 2014.1

He worked for the Rock Island Railroad as a brakeman and also at Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester and last for OAI in Hartshorne in security. He also served a six year enlistment in the Oklahoma National Guard. He was a member of Haileyville Baptist Church. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Alice Connor, of Haileyville; son, David Ray Connor and wife, Angela, of Coalgate; daughter, Brenda Sue Todd and husband, Michael, Fort Smith, Ark; mother, Mary Kathryn Cook Connor, of Hartshorne; sister, June Riley, of Hartshorne, and six grandchildren. on March 28, 2013.2

He was a LPN at various facilities around the state. Roger was born January 14, 1953 in McAlester, OK, to Joseph and Sylvia Zukosky. He is preceded in death by his mother and brother, Bobby Zukosky. He is survived by his life partner, Ron Holt, of the home; son, Brandon and fiancee Ashley Stout of Edmond; Brandon's mother, Kay Smith of Krebs, OK; dad, Joe Zukosky of Hartshorne, OK; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerald and Shirley ofMcAlester; Jimmy and Bonita of Ripley; sister-in-law, Pat of Haileyville, OK; numerous nieces and nephews, life-long friend Phylis Zukosky and good friend, Margaret Strohfield of the home. Roger Zukosky is to all of us, a son, father, brother, friend,companion, and most of all love that fills our hearts. He was a man that would go out of his way to help others. That was his God given gift. He had a passion for all animals. This is proven by the zoo in his quaint back yard. His taste for countrySanta-Fe was just appealing as he. He had an incredible amount of energy that by God's will has come to a sorrowful end. For each of us we will have fond memories of Roger and all his wonderful qualities. Roger is now safe in God's arms and for this we will be happy. Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne, OK. Services are under the direction of Mills Funeral Home of Hartshorne. on March 6, 2000.3
