     Jessie “June” Forsythe Jessie “June” Garber, age 84, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Indian Hills – A Stonebridge Community, Chillicothe, Missouri. June was born the daughter of Wilber E. and Dorothy (Whitacre) Forsythe on March 29, 1932, near Bridge Creek, Carroll County, Missouri. She was a 1949 graduate of Tina High School. She was united in marriage to Harold “Bud” Garber on June 15, 1951, in Chillicothe, Missouri. They were married for 65 years. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2016. June worked as a school teacher in a one room school house, tax collector, Postmaster, and a talented homemaker. She helped her husband farm, and loved watching the cattle. She loved attending all of her children’s sports and other activities, and many of her grandchildren’s activities. She loved cats, dogs, flowers, playing bridge, board games, and Wheel of Fortune. June was a member of the Oakland Christian Church, Hale, Missouri. She was also a member of the Grace Club of Hale. June was a past officer of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter BH of Hale. Survivors include two sons, David Garber and wife Charla of Hale, Missouri, and Ron Garber of Hale, Missouri; one daughter, Beverly Figg of Jefferson City, Missouri; and seven grandchildren, Lacy McCloud and husband Frank of Charlotte, North Carolina, Kelsey Garber of Hale, Missouri, Travis Figg of Harper Woods, Michigan, Miles Figg of Jefferson City, Missouri, Jordan Garber of Sumner, Missouri, Kamron Garber of Sumner, Missouri, and McKensie Garber of Hale, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; brother, Roy Forsythe; and sister, Kate (Forsythe) Cease. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Avalon Cemetery, Avalon, Missouri.1 She was buried at Avalon Cemetery, Avalon, Livingston Co., Missouri.1 She was born on March 29, 1932 at Bridge Creek, Carroll Co., Missouri.1 As of June 15, 1951,her married name was Garber.1 She married Harold Lee “Bud” Garber on June 15, 1951 at Chillicothe, Livingston Co., Missouri.1,2,3,4 Jessie “June” Forsythe died on December 10, 2016 at Chillicothe, Livingston Co., Missouri, at age 84.1

     Harold Lee “Bud” Garber Harold “Bud” Lee Garber, age 84, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016, at Indian Hills – A Stonebridge Community, Chillicothe, Missouri. Bud was born the son of Hezekiah “Kie” and Altha (Daugherty) Garber on December 4, 1931, rural Hale, Missouri. He was a 1949 graduate of Tina High School, Tina, Missouri. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War from 1952 until 1956. Bud was united in marriage to Jessie “June” Forsythe on June 15, 1951, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. He worked as a self-employed farmer his whole life. He enjoyed sports, hunting, and fishing. He loved attending all of his children’s sports and other activities, and many of his grandchildren’s activities. He was a gentle, sweet man. He was a member of the Oakland Christian Church, Hale, Missouri. He was also a member of the Hale R-1 School Board serving as past President and served on the Carrol County Watershed Board. Survivors include his wife, June of the home; two sons, David Garber and wife Charla of Hale, Missouri, and Ron Garber of Hale, Missouri; one daughter, Beverly Figg of Jefferson City, Missouri; and seven grandchildren, Lacy McCloud and husband Frank of Charlotte, North Carolina, Kelsey Garber of Hale, Missouri, Travis Figg of Detroit, Michigan, Miles Figg of Jefferson City, Missouri, Jordan Garber of Sumner, Missouri, Kamron Garber of Sumner, Missouri, and McKensie Garber of Hale, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Nelson Garber; and two sisters, Rosa Condron and Lucy Bennett.
