Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 70 years, Virginia Marsh Wood of Midway; five sons, Tyrone, Jim, Kenny, Ronald, and Larry; three daughters, Velma, Billie, and Betty; one brother, Jerry; four sisters, Garnet, Mary Jane, Bertha, and June; 24 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Williams-Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Sophia, with Rev. Richard Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Shrewsberry Cemetery at Maple Meadow. on December 12, 2008.4

She is survived by 3 sisters Bertha Guilliams, June Williams, MaryJane Mackenzie and one brother Jerry Wood. Seven grandchildren Lester Debolt, Jason Roestel, Joshua Roestel, Serena Kiblinger, Joseph Kiblinger Derrick Hatfield, and Jesse Roestel plus 5 great-grandchildren. on May 27, 2015.3
