Flener of Portland, Ore., died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, at Fairlawn Nursing Home in Gresham, Ore. She was 85. Flener was born Feb. 8, 1920, in Weleetka to Edgar Leslie and Hester Lavinia (Wallace) Robinson. She moved to Wyandotte when she was 4 and graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1939. She moved to Oregon in 1992 from Wyandotte. She was a World War II veteran of the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps, where she served in Co.8, 31st Tng Regiment 4th WAAC TC. She married Norman L. Flener on Jan. 11, 1941, in El Paso, Texas. He preceded her in death in June 2004. Survivors include one son and his wife, Norman L. and Christine Flener Jr. of Portland; one daughter, Norma L. Keller of Portland; one brother, Maurice Robinson of Wyandotte; three grandsons, Eugene Flener of Joplin, Mo., Kenneth Flener of Olalla, Wash., and Mark A. Flener of Portland, and two great-grandchildren, Jeffery Flener of Joplin and Jessica Flener of Joplin. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home in Miami with the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Wyandotte Indian Cemetery. on February 17, 2005.7

     Helen Nadine Robinson was buried at Ottawa Indian Cemetery, 11400 S. 613 Road, Miami, Ottawa Co., Oklahoma.2,3 She was born on June 11, 1926 at Oklahoma.1,3 She died on March 16, 1935 at Ottawa Co., Oklahoma, at age 8.2 She Helen Nadine Robinson, 8-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Robinson, died early Saturday at the family home, southwest of Wyandotte. Service will be held at 2 o'clock on Sunday at the home. The girl is survived by her parents, four brothers, Clifford of Miami; Arnold, Glynn and Morris, all of the home, and five sisters, Mrs. Opal Harris of Kansas city; Thelma Robinson of Nebraska, and Hazel, Wilma and Phyllis, all of the home. Burial will be in Ottawa cemetery, under direction of the Cooper undertaking company. on March 17, 1935.2
