Roy Lee Dobyns, Route 1, Verona, was found dead about 8:45 a.m. Friday on a site where he was working for M and P Lime Company, south of Monnett. A funeral home spokesman said an autopsy revealed Dobyns had succumbed to complications of the flu. Dobyns, who was a lifelong resident of this area, is survived by his wife Vonetta; two daughters, Mrs. Donna Jenkins and Mrs. Joyce Foster, both of Verona; four brothers, Harlan and Bud, both of Aurora, Henry of Everton, and George of Stevenson, Wash; and two grandsons. Services will be a 2 p.m. Monday in Peterson Chapel, Aurora, with the Rev. H. V. Wells officiating. Burial will be in Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora. on January 27, 1973.⁵
