     William Roger Hale William "Roger" Hale, born August 7, 1939, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 6, 2025. Roger was the beloved son of the late Maynard and Carey Hale. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Hale. In 1983, Roger married Brenda Hale, and together they built a loving home on the very land where he grew up in Ferrum, Virginia. A devoted husband and father, Roger's life was a testament to faith, hard work, and family. Roger dedicated 28 years of service to DuPont and later worked at Rocky Mount Elementary School for seven years. He also served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. A man of many passions, Roger found joy in hunting, music, and restoring classic cars. He was a faithful member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church in Ferrum, Virginia, where his strong faith and warm spirit were evident to all who knew him. Roger is survived by his loving family: sons Danny Campbell, Randy Campbell, Sandy Campbell, and Tim Hale; his daughter, Kay Smith; his brothers, Roy Hale and Jimmy Hale; and his cherished nieces and nephews, including Maynard Hale, JJ Hale, Travis Hale, and Lorie Holland. Roger will be remembered for his kind heart, dedication to his family, and unwavering faith. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.      James Clarence Hale James Clarence Hale, age 81 of Ferrum, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 16, 2024, after a brief hospital stay. James was born on July 21, 1943, to the late Maynard and Carrie Hale. His sisters-in-law, Brenda Hale and Goldie Hale also preceded him in death. James was a devoted Christian and knew the Bible like no other. He was always trying to guide others to salvation, even while in the hospital in ICU. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. During his free time, he was usually involved in reading the Bible or other religious material or participating in church activities. He had a very kind heart and would do anything he could for others. James is survived by his daughter Lorie Holland (Ken); his son James, who is known to most as Travis. James also has three living brothers, Roger Hale, Roy Hale, and Jimmie Hale. Additionally, he leaves behind seven grandchildren, Kristin Hale, Madison Holland, Whitney Holland, Jonas Holland, Jillian Holland, Emberly Holland, and Jayce Holland. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends, including his church family at Woodlawn Baptist in Rocky Mount. Afterwards, there will be a private burial at the Guilliams - Hale family cemetery in Ferrum.4 He was buried at Hale-Guilliams Cemetery, Franklin Co., Virginia.4 He was born on July 21, 1943 at Franklin Co., Virginia.3,4 He married Brenda Holley on November 16, 1967 at Rocky Mount, Franklin Co., Virginia.2 James Clarence Hale died on September 16, 2024 at Virginia at age 81.4

Virginia spent most of her life in the beautiful state of Virginia before moving to Florida 15 years ago. Her family will return her to her childhood home in Victoria, Va., where many of her loved ones still reside, including her brother, Jimmie Ingram of Victoria; and her sister, Mary Frances Dirks of Richmond. Services will be at Laurel Hill UMC at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, with burial in Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, Victoria, Va. on April 30, 2014.3
