Lee Roy Jamison died on August 2, 2021 at Virginia at age 95.7 He Lee Roy Jamison, December 28, 1925 - August 2, 2021. Lee Roy Jamison, M Div, transitioned to his eternal reward on Aug 2, 2021, at the age of 95. He is survived by two sons, David (Kathy) of Texas, and Douglas (Deedee)of Danville; three grandchildren, Michael (Amber), Christian, and Anne (Nick); and four great-grandchildren, Rylee, Parker Lee, Jax, and Kade. After graduating from Asbury College and Asbury Theological Seminary, Lee was ordained as an elder in the Methodist Church in 1952 and pastored churches in New Castle, Buchanan, Gordonsville, Barboursville, Danville, Salem, Portsmouth, Colonial Heights, Richmond, and Dayton before retiring in Roanoke with his late wife Evelyn, where he lived for 40 more years. As the husband of Evelyn Webb, he was the last survivor of a generation of thirteen siblings and twelve spouses which began in 1905. After graduating from Jefferson High School on D-Day, June 6, 1944, Lee began a long association with the U.S. Navy. He proudly served on the USS Lexington, a battleship in the Pacific fleet, as a signalman on deck. He later returned to Officers' Training School and received a commission as a chaplain in the Naval Reserves, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He loved the Navy and relished his times as a chaplain. Known for his quick wit, Lee will be missed by family, friends, nurses, and congregants alike. Well done, Dad. He was a graduate of Newport News High School, VA, and attended North Carolina State University. Mr. Webb was Senior Vice-President of First Factors Corp. in High Point. He was a veteran of the US Army and former player in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. He was a former member of the Burlington Kiwanis Club and was a former Burlington Recreation League baseball and basketball coach. Mr. Webb was a member of Davis Street United Methodist Church and the Joe Holmes Sunday School Class. He was actively involved with various committees of the church. In addition to his wife, Polly, of the home, Mr. Webb is sur vived by a daughter, Sherry Leigh Webb of Burlington; two sons, Warren Timothy Webb and his wife, Tricia, of Greensboro and Christopher Webb and his wife, Anne, of Burlington; and three grandchildren, Abigail Leigh Webb, Timothy Graham Webb and Phillip Grady Webb. Mr. Webb was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Jean Moody; and two brothers, Phillip Webb and Nelson Webb. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the Bethesda Cemetery in Aberdeen. on June 3, 2014.5

She was a member of the Franklin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and was Past Worthy Matron of Rebekka Chapter #84 O.E.S., was secretary at the Callaway Elementary School and retired as the Postmaster of the Callaway Post Office. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Bryant F. and Judy Moore Webb of Epherata, Pa., and Marvin A. and Patricia McGhee Webb of Callaway; four grandchildren, Sherri Kimmell, Antoinette Hodges, Thomas Webb and Michelle Webb; three great-grandchildren, David Anthony Hodges, Bailey Kimmell and James Webb Kimmell; one sister, Virginia A. Martin of Richmond, and a very special friend and companion, Jo Yopp. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday from Piedmont Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Richard Slider and the Rev. Gary Milstead officiating. Interment will follow in the Callaway Community Cemetery. on January 22, 1996.2
