Dr. William Makaroff was summoned after Pollard was stricken, but pronounced the rancher dead on arrival at the ranch. The body was removed to the Tunstall Funeral Home at Guerneville, where funeral arrangements are pending. on September 11, 1945.⁶

Private inurnment was today at Sky1awn Memorial Park. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday afternoon at St. Andrew's Episcopalian Church, North Highlands, Sacramento County Contributions to the American Cancer Society are preferred. Carlmont chapel handled local arrangements. on January 20, 1967.³

He was a Seabee in the Navy during World War II, graduated from Eureka High School and earned a football scholarship to Oregon State College. His 1939 college football team was inducted into the Oregon State Sports Hall of Fame in 1993. He was a beloved father, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, neighbor and friend. His kindness, honesty and respect for others, is a legacy that will live on in all who have been touched by his life. Memorial Services will be held at Connolly-Taylor Chapel, 4000 Alhambra Avenue, Martinez, CA, on Monday, March 4, 2002, at 1 p.m. Pollard family suggests memorial contributions to Sutter VNA & Hospice, 1110 North Dutton Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401. on March 1, 2002.⁵
