     James Curtis Long was born on April 6, 1940 at Belle Fourche, Butte Co., South Dakota.1 He died on June 15, 1951 at Seely, Crook Co., Wyoming, at age 11.1 He James Curtis Long, son of Mr. And Mrs. Wilbert Long of Seely, was born April 6, 1940 in Belle Fourche, S. D. and died, June 15, 1951. The boy was killed on the Long ranch when dragged by a frightened horse. Funeral services were held, June 18, in Hulett. He was 11 at the time of his death. He had lived all his life in the Seely community. There he attended the Johnson school, the Medicine creek school and the Jay-Long school. He completed the fifth grade this year. He was an active member of the Cactus Kids 4-H club of Seely-Hulett. He is survived by his parents, a sister, Marilyn; a brother, John, and his grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis J. Stoner and Mr. and Mrs. James O. Long, all of Advance, Ind. on June 28, 1951.1
