     Allen Porter "Jinks" Tanler was buried at Redmond Memorial Cemetery, Redmond, Deschutes Co., Oregon.³ His Social Security Number was 541-34-8411.⁴ He was born on August 14, 1924 at Long Creek, Grant Co., Oregon.^5,4,2,3 He married Carol Laveda Timms, daughter of Carl Augustus Timms and Verda Leora McKern, on October 14, 1946 at Stephenson, Marinette Co., Wisconsin.² Allen Porter "Jinks" Tanler died on May 23, 1974 at Grant Co., Oregon, at age 49.^4,1,2,3 He Allen Porter "Jinks" Tanler was born Aug. 14, 1924, in Long Creek and attended school in Long Creek and Mt. Vernon. He served two years in the United States Navy during World War II. Upon his return, he lived on the family ranch near Mt. Vernon and attended an auctioneer's school in Indiana. Mr. Tanler became a charter member of the John Day Elks on Sept. 9, 1950. In 1957 he moved to Redmond where he worked as an auctioneer for the Redmond Auction Yard. He eventually purchased the yard in partnership with Ross Every and became a well-known auctioneer and cattle buyer. He auctioneered many of the Grantski auctions held annually in John Day. Mr. Tanler died of a heart attack on May 23, 1974. Survivors include his widow, the former Carol Timms, who became his wife Oct. 14, 1946, in Stevenson, Wis. on June 25, 2003.²

     Frances M. Koda died on June 5, 2017 at Idaho at age 93.² She Frances Odlivak of Caldwell, Idaho was born to Polish immigrants Louise and Ben Koda and was raised in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania with her siblings. She moved to the west coast and married Keith Leedy. They relocated to the Payette/Caldwell area where they operated Leedy's Cafe, a family owned restaurant. Together they had three children: son Keith Leedy (children: Kelley Branstetter and Alana Barclay), daughter Nachele Farden (children: Greg Farden, Jeff Farden and Jolene Gallegos) and daughter Karen Yates (children: Leslie Doerr, Kari Swanson and Leah Barkes). After her husband Keith passed, Frances later married Joe Odlivak. Frances passed away on June 5, 2017 and is now reunited with her son Keith and granddaughter Leah. She will be remembered at a graveside service for family and friends at Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise, Idaho at 11:00 a.m. on June 13, 2017. on June 11, 2017.¹

     Nellie Mae Aldrich was buried at Canyon City Cemetery, Canyon City, Grant Co., Oregon.¹ She was born on May 13, 1868 at Austin, Mower Co., Minnesota.^1,3 She married George Wilbur McKern, son of Isaac McKern and Mary "Polly" Barton, on April 22, 1894 at Latah Co., Idaho.^1,2 As of April 22, 1894,her married name was McKern.² Nellie Mae Aldrich married Henry H. McKern, son of Isaac McKern and Mary "Polly" Barton, on June 11, 1921.¹ Nellie Mae Aldrich died on October 3, 1943 at Mount Vernon, Grant Co., Oregon, at age 75.¹ She Nellie Mae Aldrich was born in Austin, Minnesota, May 13, 1868 and passed away at her home in Mt. Vernon, October 3, 1943. She came to Idaho with her parents when she was a young girl. She was married to George D. McKern in 1894. To this union were born five children. Her husband died in 1911. She was married to Henry H. McKern in 1921. Henry McKern passed away in February, 1943. Mrs. McKern is survived by the following children: Mrs. Paul Scea and Amsel McKern, Wenatchee, Wash; Hazel McKern, Taft, Calif., and Richard McKern, Mt. Vernon, Ore. Funeral services were held from the Driskill Mortuary chapel in John Day, Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Josie Bach. Interment was in the Canyon City cemetery. on October 8, 1943.¹

     Marcia Amsel McKern was buried at Wenatchee City Cemetery, Wenatchee, Chelan Co., Washington.⁴ She was born on March 28, 1903 at Myrtle, Nez Perce Co., Idaho.³ She died on April 20, 1963 at Wenatchee, Chelan Co., Washington, at age 60.

     Richard Henry McKern was buried at Canyon City Cemetery, Canyon City, Grant Co., Oregon.⁶ He was born on April 22, 1908 at Myrtle, Nez Perce Co., Idaho.⁴ He married Inez Huber on May 31, 1938 at Pomeroy, Garfield Co., Washington.⁸ Richard Henry McKern died on July 24, 1952 at Grant Co., Oregon, at age 44.^5,7 He Mount Vernon Man Commits Suicide. Richard McKern, 42, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at 6:02 o'clock Thursday morning at his ranch home near Mount Vernon, according to investigating officers, Sheriff Robert W. Damon and Coroner J. Carl Driskell. The Mount Vernon rancher took his own life with a single shot from an old 12-gauge single barrel shotgun. The act was committed on the back porch of the home a few minutes after he had awakened and dressed preparatory to doing the morning ranch duties. Officers state that he left no note. McKern, who was prominent resident in the Mount Vernon community, was a member of the school board of district No. 6. He is survived by his widow, Inez, four small daughters and other relatives. on July 25, 1952.⁵

     Paul Waldie Scea was buried at Wenatchee City Cemetery, Wenatchee, Chelan Co., Washington.⁴ His Social Security Number was 532-07-2609.⁵ He was born on March 6, 1897 at LaMoure, LaMoure Co., North Dakota.^1,5,3 He married Vida Mae McKern, daughter of George Wilbur McKern and Nellie Mae Aldrich, on June 10, 1927 at San Francisco, San Francisco Co., California.¹ Paul Waldie Scea died on November 3, 1994 at Wenatchee, Chelan Co., Washington, at age 97.^1,5,2 He WENATCHEE - Paul W. Scea, 97, a longtime Wenatchee-area resident and businessman, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 1994, in Colonial Vista Convalescent Center. He was born March 6, 1897, to Lewis S. and Anna (Waldie) Scea at LaMoure, N.D. The family moved to Milton, Ore., in 1910, and he graduated from Milton High School in 1915. He graduated from Oregon State University in 1921 with a degree in economics. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War I. Mr. Scea entered the fruit business in 1921 in Milton-Freewater, Ore., with H.S. Denison and Company. He opened a branch office for the company in Wenatchee in 1924 and served as president and manager until his retirement in 1981. He was president of the Chelan Apple Company until the company was sold in 1980. He married Vida McKern in 1927 at San Francisco, Calif. They made their home in Wenatchee and East Wenatchee. Mr. Scea was active in many community organizations. He provided longtime leadership in the Boy Scouts and Deaconess Hospital. He was past president of the Wenatchee Rotary Club and the Wenatchee Golf and Country Club. He was a life member of the YMCA, American Legion Post No. 10, Riverside Masonic Lodge No. 112, Masonic York Rite Bodies and El Katif Shrine. He was an active member of Wenatchee First United Methodist Church. He was director of Columbia Federal Savings Bank from 1941 to 1985 and served on boards of the Washington State Apple Commission and Northwest Horticultural Council. He was president of the International Apple Association from 1941 to 1942. He was named Boy Scout Distinguished Citizen in 1981, Outstanding Apple Citizen in 1987 and Outstanding Friend of Wenatchee Valley College in 1988-89. He is survived by a son, Robert M. of Wenatchee; and two grandsons, Paul E. Scea of Morgantown, W.Va., and Gregory R. Scea of Gig Harbor. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1977, a brother and two sisters. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee. on November 6, 1994.¹

     Linda Emmons was buried at Wenatchee City Cemetery, Wenatchee, Chelan Co., Washington.² She Linda E. Scea, 61, a longtime Wenatchee resident, passed away on Monday morning, May 4, 1998, at Central Washington Hospital. She was born on Sept. 5, 1936, at Everett, to John C. and Helen (Swanson) Emmons. She moved with her family to Wenatchee when she was 4 years old. She was raised and schooled in Wenatchee, attending Columbia Elementary, H.B. Ellison Junior High and Wenatchee High School, graduating in 1954. She continued her education at the University of Washington. On Sept. 7, 1957, she was married to Robert "Bob" Scea in Wenatchee. They made their home together in Seattle while they were finishing their educations. She graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in education in 1958. They returned to Wenatchee, where she became a homemaker and they have since made their home. Linda was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, the Junior Wenatchee Hospital Guild, the Wenatchee Hospital Guild and the Wenatchee Womens Club. She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Scea, Wenatchee; her father, John C. "Jack" Emmons, East Wenatchee; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul E. and his wife Virginia of Morgantown, W.Va., and Gregory R. and his wife Anne of Gig Harbor. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
