Survivors include his wife, Jewell; two daughters, Sharon Lampl Smith, Sacramento, Calif., and Ruth Barrens, St. Petersburg; and four grandchildren, Adrianne and David Smith, Sacramento, and Jacob and Hannah Barrens, St. Petersburg.
