Reynolds, 78, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, October 1, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Leva Mae Reynolds. From 1953 to 1956 he served with the 11th Airborne Division of the United States Army. Mr. Reynolds retired from PYA Monarch Food Service. He was a member of Southview United Methodist Church and American Legion Post # 3. Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Peggy D. Reynolds; daughter, Marla Latham of Salem; son, Sheldon "Bubba" Reynolds, of Roanoke; granddaughter, Nicole "Nicky" Butt and husband, Todd; great- grandchildren, Cayden and Chloe Butt; and a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Southview United Methodist Church 3539 Peters Creek Road Roanoke, VA 24019. A service of remembrance will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road. Pastor Larry Edmonds will officiate.      Richard Earl Reynolds was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, 1300 Mountain View Road, Vinton, Roanoke Co., Virginia.⁴ He was born on April 24, 1938 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.³ He married Sylvia Elaine Walker circa 1963.⁴ Richard Earl Reynolds died on February 10, 2017 at Virginia at age 78.⁴ He Retired Army Sergeant First Class Richard Earl Reynolds, 78, of Vinton, Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday evening, February 10, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Alfred Reynolds and Louise Chewning Reynolds. Richard served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1976 and met his wife, Sylvia Reynolds, while stationed in San Antonio, Texas. After retiring from the army, he worked as a nurse at the Salem Veterans Affairs Medical Center, was a long-time member of the Vinton First Aid Crew, and was a member of Vinton Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sylvia; his three daughters, Debbie Marsh and her husband, Bobby, Terry Hough and her husband, Mark, and Denise Spangler and her husband, Greg; his two sisters, Brenda Adams and her husband, Doug, and Anita Reynolds; his seven grandchildren; his five great-grandchildren; and his beloved puppy, Brandy. Richard was a hero to his nation and a hero to his family. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Dr. Chris Monroe officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. on February 13, 2017.⁴

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin Sr. and Emma Adams and his sisters, Vera Gillespie and Gloria Straatmann.      Wallace Roger Reynolds was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, 1300 Mountain View Road, Vinton, Roanoke Co., Virginia.³ He was born on April 6, 1942 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2 He married Norma Jean Gillespie on September 22, 1961 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,3 Wallace Roger Reynolds died on January 16, 2009 at Virginia at age 66.³ He Wallace Roger Reynolds, 66, of Moneta, Va., passed away on Friday, January 16, 2009. He was retired from ITT after 23 years service. Surviving are his wife, Norma Gillispie Reynolds; his son and best friend, Dean Reynolds, of Roanoke; one special daughter, Belinda R. Marla retired after 34 years of service at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Salem.
