He was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church, McKenzie River Lodge No. 195 AFAM, Eugene Knife and Fork Club, American Legion Post No. 3, Izaak Walton League and the Glenwood Business Men's Association. He is survived by his wife, Mildred and children, Lorraine Woods of Portland and Jack Woods of Eugene; his mother, Dora A. Woods of Walla Walla, Wash; one brother, Glenn Woods of Reardon, Wash; one sister, Mildred Dodd of Walla Walla, Wash. on January 16, 1950.⁶

Wysong, 68, formerly of Tipp City, died Thursday at the Kaylor Nickel clinic at Bluffton, Indiana after an illness of four months. He is a retired electrical engineer. He was employed at the Arcanum water and light plant for six years and at the Tipp City power plant for 22 years. He retired in 1948. Since retiring, he had resided with a niece, Mrs. Glen Urich, R. R. 3, Arcanum. He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge at Tipp City. Survivors include a brother, George of Richmond; the niece and a nephew, Don of Marion, Ohio. Burial was in the Mound Hill cemetery, Eaton. on July 12, 1951.⁷

He resided at 312 North 21st street, having moved here from Eaton, 48 years ago. He was a member of the second Presbyterian church and the Brotherhood of Railroad Firemen and Engineers. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Irma Wysong; a son, Donald Wysong of Dayton, O., and four grandchildren. on March 17, 1958.⁶

Urich, 83, of Arcanum, died Tuesday morning at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton. Mrs. Urich was born May 6, 1910, in Montgomery County, daughter of Charles and Grace Bradley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, in March 1992. A homemaker, she attended Ithaca United Methodist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ned (Phyllis) Alspaugh of Brookville; a son, Benson E. of Rogers, Ark; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Ithaca Cemetery. on January 12, 1994.⁷

Burial will be in Mound Hill cemetery, Eaton, Ohio. Ill only a few days, she had been in failing health for some time and recently resigned her post as treasurer of troop 2, Richmond girl scouts. She was a member of the Second Presbyterian church, and had been a member of the girl scout troop for the last five years, winning her five-year service stripe last year. She attended Camp Delwood as a representative of local girl scouts last summer. She was born Dec. 10, 1915 in Richmond the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Wysong, whc with one brother, Donald, survive. on November 24, 1933.⁵

He was a professional engineer with Price Brothers Co. for the past 35 years. He was a member of the Dayton Engineers Club, Ohio and National Societies of Professional Engineers. He was very active in Boy Scouts and served as President of the Dayton Zoning Board of Appeals from 1967 to 1974. He was preceded in death by a son Donald S. and is survived by his wife Marilyn; daughter, Kathy Wysong of Bowling Green; daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Kenneth Logan, Dayton; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Terry of New Mexico, James and Karen, Toledo. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. on October 20, 1985.¹²

     Marilyn Jean Zartman Wysong (nee Zartman), Marilyn, age 84, of Dayton, formerly of Richmond, IN passed away Friday, February 5, 2010. She is a graduate of Richmond High School and attended Incarnation Catholic Church. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Donald G. Wysong in 1985; sons, Donald Stephen in 1968 and James Michael in 1996. She is survived by her daughters, Gail (Ken) Logan of Centerville and Katherine Wysong of Lebanon; son, Gary A. (Terry) Wysong of New Mexico; grandchildren, Douglas Logan, Donald Logan, Christine Abernathy, Jeffrey Logan, Esther Wysong, Adam Wysong, Benjamin Wysong and Daniel Wysong; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Virginia Eliason, Joan Keller and Carol Cerqua.⁴ She was buried at Calvary Cemetery, 1625 Calvary Drive, Kettering, Montgomery Co., Ohio.⁵ Her Social Security Number was 316-20-1401.⁶ She was born on February 6, 1925 at Richmond, Wayne Co., Indiana.^3,6 As of April 18, 1944,her married name was Wysong.² She married Donald George Wysong, son of George Washington Wysong and Irma Catherine Cole, on April 18, 1944 at Elizabeth City, Pasquotank Co., North Carolina.^1,2,4 Marilyn Jean Zartman died on February 5, 2010 at Dayton, Montgomery Co., Ohio, at age 84.^4,6

     Donald Stephen Wysong was buried at Calvary Cemetery, 1625 Calvary Drive, Kettering, Montgomery Co., Ohio.² He was born on October 19, 1951 at Ohio.^2,3 He died on July 25, 1968 at Xenia, Greene Co., Ohio, at age 16.^2,4,5 He Donald Steven Wysong, son of former Richmond residents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. Wysong, 134 Hillcrest Dayton, Ohio, was killed Thursday in an auto accident on Ohio 380 of Xenia, Ohio. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia shortly after 2 p.m. He was a passenger in a car driven Thomas H. Schomer of Dayton, who apparently lost control of the vehicle on a curve about four and one-half miles south of Xenia. The car went off the left side of the road and rolled end over end into a creek, up an embankment, through a fence and into a cornfield, according to the Xenia post of the State Highway Patrol. The Schomer youth was listed in fair condition after surgery at Greene Hospital. Jerry Tiefert, 17, also a passenger in the car, was treated and released. The youth's grandmother, Mrs. George Wysong, and grandfather, Harry Zartman, reside in Richmond. His mother was formerly Marilyn Zartman. He was a student at Chaminade High School. Surviving, other than the parents and grandparents, are two sisters, Gail and Kathy, and two brothers, Gary and Jimmy, all at home. on July 26, 1968.⁵

He attended Bowling Green University where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and graduated from Wright, State in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Jim was employed as a graduate assistant with, the Wright State Math Dept. and was a member of the Mathematical Assoc. of America, His father and one brother, Donald Steven Wysong, preceded him in death. Survivors include his mother, Marilyn Wysong, of Lebanon; one son, Nicholas Wysong, of Toledo, one brother & sister-in-law, Gary Allen & Terri Wysong; of Albuquerque, NM; sister & brother-in-law, Gail & Kenneth Logan, of Centerville; sister, Kathy Wysong, of Lebanon, and several nieces & nephews. Interment will follow in Calvery Cemetery. on June 22, 1996.⁷
