The son of the late Jeanetta Smith and Ralph Davis Morris Sr., Mr. Morris was born Aug. 12, 1936, in Pulaski, Va. He attended Southern High School in Harwood and served in the Army from 1959 to 1964. He worked in the field of civil engineering as a party chief field surveyor for 37 years, mostly recently for John E. Harms and Associates in Pasadena. Mr. Morris was a member of Annapolis Elks Lodge 622, the Veterans of Foreign War and American Legion Post 7. He enjoyed NASCAR, horse racing, Washington Redskins football, singing and country music. His wife, Virginia Sullivan Morris, died Nov. 26, 2002. Surviving are one daughter, Linda Armstrong of Annapolis; four brothers, Herman Morris of Atlanta, Ga., and John, Richard and Chuck Morris, all of Zephyr Hills, Fla; four sisters, Mary Swinburn of Orlando, Fla., and Judy Chapman, Barbara Huffman and Debbie Morris, all of Zephyr Hills; and three grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Ralph Davis Morris. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester St., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 200 E. Joppa Road, Suite 300, Towson, MD 21286. on September 27, 2005.2

Mathew Bragg Jr. and wife Virginia of Hinton; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren; three brothers, Leonard Bragg of Salem, VA, George Bowling of TX, and Stanley Bragg of Hinton; one sister, Geraldine Breeding of VA; one sister-in-law, Mary Bragg of Hinton along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. on June 21, 2011.5
