He is survived by his wife, Nancy Ahart; his mother, Elizabeth Frango; a sister, Patricia Troester and husband Wayne; son, Elmer Ahart Jr; son, Michael Ahart; son, Robert Ahart; daughter, Patricia Smith; daughter, Elizabeth Uhl; 15 grandkids; 15 great-grandkids; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Ahart was predeceased by his father, Robert Odell Ahart and a son, Howard Ahart. A funeral will be held Thursday, April 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carlos A. Howard Funeral Homes, Norfolk Chapel. The family will assemble at the funeral home at 5:45 p.m. for the service. on March 31, 2010.4

     Howard Lee Ahart was born on October 5, 1964 at Norfolk, Virginia.3 He died on December 3, 2006 at Chesapeake, Virginia, at age 42.2,4 He CHESAPEAKE - Howard Ahart, also known as "Howie" or "Duck," of the 1500 block of Campostella Road died Dec. 3, 2006, at home. Born in Norfolk, he worked as a laborer. Survivors include his parents, Nancy and Elmer Ahart Sr. of Chesapeake; two sisters, Elizabeth Uhl of Suffolk and Patricia Smith of Chesapeake; three brothers, Robert Ahart of Norfolk, Elmer Ahart Jr. and Michael Ahart, both of Chesapeake; and grandmother, Elizabeth Frango of Virginia Beach. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. The remains will be ready for viewing from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Monday at Carlos A. Howard Funeral Homes, Norfolk Chapel. The family would like to thank all his friends at Anna's Restaurant for all their love and support. on December 10, 2006.4
