     L. Maxine Hanshew was buried at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, 9501 West 159th Street, Overland Park, Johnson Co., Kansas.¹ She was born on February 20, 1924 at Rantoul, Franklin Co., Kansas.¹ As of July 24, 1965,her married name was Laughlin.¹ She married Forest D. Laughlin, son of Richard Forest Laughlin and Le-Una Lofton, on July 24, 1965 at Paola, Miami Co., Kansas.^1,2 L. Maxine Hanshew died on August 4, 1992 at Douglas Co., Kansas, at age 68.¹ She The funeral for L. Maxine Laughlin, 68, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Gardner with the Revs. Theron Stanfield, John Deily, and Ken Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Plesant Valley Cemetery in Stanley. Mrs. Laughlin died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 1992 at her home in rural Douglas County. She had cancer. She was born Feb. 20, 1924, in Rantoul, the daughter of Miles Hanshew and Ethel Scoville. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Laughlin ws a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Gardner, where she was a Presbyterin Elder and a Stephens Minister. She also belonged to the Wellsville Garden Club and the Chat & Sew Club in Gardner. She married Forest Laughlin on July 24, 1965, in Paola. He survives of the home. Other survivors include four sons, Ron Attebery, Dennis Attebery, and Dan Attebery, all of Edgerton, and Max Atteberym Charlestown, Ind; a daughter Shirley Fort, Edgerton; a stepdaughter, Jeanne Konker, Norman Okla; two sisters, Arlene Hughes, Riley, Ore., and Delores Watkins, Bethany, Mo; a brother Frank Hanshew, Pittsburg; 24 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. on August 6, 1992.¹

     Christine S. Podmarsky was buried at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Olathe, Johnson Co., Kansas.² She was born on December 6, 1917.² As of 1944,her married name was Laughlin.¹ She married Forest D. Laughlin, son of Richard Forest Laughlin and Le-Una Lofton, in 1944.¹ Christine S. Podmarsky died on April 26, 1964 at age 46.²

     Roy F. Richardson was buried at Gardner Cemetery, Gardner, Johnson Co., Kansas.¹ He was born on December 7, 1913.¹ He married Irene E. Laughlin, daughter of Jesse Ward Laughlin and Cora Belle Filtenbager/Filtenberger, on March 23, 1955.^2,1 Roy F. Richardson died on October 11, 1974 at age 60.¹

     Francis Raymond Worley was buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lawrence, Douglas Co., Kansas.³ He was born on January 2, 1922 at Tonganoxie, Leavenworth Co., Kansas.^4,3 He married Bonnie June Laughlin, daughter of Jesse Ward Laughlin and Cora Belle Filtenbager/Filtenberger, on September 2, 1942 at Harrisonville, Cass Co., Missouri.^1,2,3 Francis Raymond Worley died on October 20, 2010 at Gardner, Johnson Co., Kansas, at age 88.^2,3,4 He Funeral services for Francis Raymond Worley, 88, Gardner, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Central United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Worley died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at Vintage Park in Gardner. He was born Jan. 2, 1922, in Tonganoxie, the son of Lester Raymond and Jessie Davidson Worley. He had been a Lawrence resident since 1956. Following high school graduation, Mr. Worley served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945 as a corporal. He worked as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service from 1957 until he retired in 1984. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church. He was also a 50-year member of the Lawrence Masonic Lodge No. 6. He enjoyed dancing at the senior center. He married Bonnie June Laughlin on Sept. 2, 1942, in Harrisonville, Mo. She survives, of the home. Other survivors include four sons, Gary Francis and wife Rita, Monticello, Ark., David Ward and wife Maria, Lawrence, Dennis Raymond and wife Mary, Gardner, and Craig Alan and wife Rhonda, Lawrence; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Phyllis Day, Warsaw, Mo. He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother. on October 22, 2010.³
