Dr. Heather Hubbard married Lora Morehead.1 Dr. Heather Hubbard died on March 30, 2014 at West Virginia.2 She Dr. Heather J. Hubbard passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014, after an extended illness. Dr. Hubbard is survived by her daughter, Sara, and wife, Lora, both of Morgantown, as well as her mother and stepfather, Charlotte and Russell Smith of Lee, Fla; her brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Lyndsey Hubbard of Jacksonville, Fla; stepmother, Sherri Hubbard of Jupiter, Fla; stepsister, Nikki Mills of Jupiter, Fla; and grandparents, Richard and Anna Hubbard of Walton. She was preceded in death by her father, Rick Hubbard, in 2009. Dr. Hubbard was a 1999 graduate of Roane County High School, a 2006 graduate of the West Virginia University School of Medicine, and completed her residency in family medicine at West Virginia University in December 2009. At that time, she became a staff physician with the Clark K. Sleeth Family Medicine Center (WVU). Dr. Hubbard won numerous academic awards over the years, was awarded a Bravo! Award as a faculty member at WVU and was honored with the Press Gainey award for patient care. Dr. Hubbard thoroughly enjoyed travel, painting and creating pottery, spending time with family and attending Mountaineers sporting events. A special thanks goes to Dr. Michael Craig, the staff at the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center and the nurses on 9 West and the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at WVU Hospitals. A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Morgantown on Thursday, April 3. A visitation gathering will occur at 5:30 p.m., with a 6:30 p.m. service to follow. An additional memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer. A visitation gathering will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. on April 2, 2014.2

Burl Roy Robinson Jr. Burl Roy Robinson, Jr, age 75, of St. Louis, went to be with his Savior on Friday, March 28, 2014 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born September 6, 1938 in Alma the son of Burl Roy and Lois Marie (LaBonville) Robinson. Burl was a 1956 graduate of Alma High School and served his country in the United State Marine Corp during the Korean War from 1956 until his honorable discharge, serving at stations in Japan and Guam. On November 12, 1971 he was married to Donna Rahl Brondstetter at the Merrill Congregational Church. Burl worked as the Head Computer Operator of Building 564 for Dow Chemical, retiring in 2001 after 34 years of service. He was a very active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Alma. Burl enjoyed his daily trips to McDonalds to meet his friends for coffee, doing carpentry and working in his garage. He was known as the Greatest Volunteer for his willingness to help others. Burl especially loved spending time with his family and was always his grandchildren’s biggest fan including all his grandpets. Burl is survived by his wife of 42 years; Donna of St. Louis, three children; Steven (Tracy Bryan) Rahl of Zeeland, Deb (John) Norton of St. Paul, MN and Lisa (Darren) Fish of Alma, five grandchildren; Marni (Mike) Ostrom, Kelly Hurt, Ashlee, Trent and Gavin Fish, three great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Mitchell and Emma, three sisters; Leah “Tootie” (Henry) Glazier, Cathy Evitts and Linda (Max) Johnson all of Merrill, four sisters-in-law; Fern Robinson of Florida, Joy Robinson of Minnesota, Denyce (Jody) Travis of Ithaca and Jolayne Brondstetter of Alma and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Richard, Paul “Ed” and Charles Robinson and his mother and father-in-law, Joe and Doris Brondstetter. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 11 am at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor John Eich officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Alma. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 31st from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or Alma Sports Boosters.2 He was buried at Riverside Cemetery, Alma, Gratiot Co., Michigan.2 He was born on September 6, 1938 at Alma, Gratiot Co., Michigan.2 He married Donna Jean Rahl Brondstetter on November 12, 1971 at Merrill, Saginaw Co., Michigan.2 Burl Roy Robinson Jr. died on March 28, 2014 at Michigan at age 75.2

Garnet L. Kerwood was born on June 21, 1915 at West Virginia.3,2,4 She died on October 12, 2006 at Dunbar, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 91.2,4,1 She Mrs. Garnet L. Kerwood Hively, 91, of Hometown passed away October 12, 2006, in SunBridge of Dunbar Nursing Home. Mrs. Hively attended Hometown Church of God Mission and was a volunteer for the Hometown Senior Citizens. She is survived by her daughters, Doris Hively Barnette and husband, Robert, of Dunbar and Barbara E. Young and husband, Frank, of Hometown; six grandchildren, Vickie Kessell, Tim and wife, Nancee Barnette, Toni and husband, Mike Staats, Tina and husband, Tim Randolph, Mark E. Young and Samuel F. and wife, Lisa Young; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A tribute to the life of Garnet will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 14, at Cunningham Memorial Park with Pastors Joe Scarberry and Wayne Hooper officiating. Burial will follow in the memorial park. Gatens-Harding Funeral Home, 147 Main St., Poca, is serving the Hively family. on October 13, 2006.1
