She is survived by her husband of 27 years, James Privett; two step-daughters, Julie Cox and husband, John, North Carolina, and Paula Cook and husband, Dale, West Virginia;four grandchildren, Mari Cox, William Cox, Jonathan Shrewsbury and Annie Cook; two nieces and four nephews; and a great host of loving friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, from the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion, with the Rev. C.E. Green and the Rev. Ralph Surber officiating. Interment will follow in the Burton's Chapel Cemetery in Troutdale. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Friends will serve as pallbearers. on March 25, 2013.2

He was 55 years of age. Darrell was born Oct. 28, 1952, at Crab Orchard, the youngest of four children born to the late Forrest B. and Freda Carte Gillespie. In addition to his parents, his sister, Alice Williams, also preceded him in death. A graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Class of 1970, Darrell was a member of Bethel Freewill Baptist Church. A former coal miner and welder, he last worked at Consolidated Cable. Darrell was the dear husband of Delilah Ruth Tolliver Gillespie; the fond brother of David Gillespie and his wife, Tammy, and Kay Pegram and her husband, Michael, all of Beckley; and the son-in-law of Jesse and Carrie Tolliver of Pierpoint. A large extended family also survives. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Melton Mortuary Chapel, Beckley, with the Revs. Bill Calhoun and Scott Lester officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. The family will receive friends noon until time of service. Pallbearers will be Scott Pegram, Robert Hilton, Brian and Brad Gillespie, Darren Copley and Rick Dixon. on May 23, 2008.2
