     Doris Jean Mickey was born on August 13, 1952 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2 As of March 25, 1972,her married name was Aldridge.² She married Donald Milton Aldridge, son of Billy Warren Aldridge and Julia Elizabeth Bright, on March 25, 1972 at Roanoke, Virginia.^2,1 Doris Jean Mickey died on May 31, 2017 at Virginia at age 64.¹ She Doris Mickey Aldridge, 64, of Roanoke, Va., loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Known to loved ones as Doris Jean, she was born on August 13, 1952, in Roanoke, Va. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Charles E. and Lucille S. Mickey; and her sister, Ruth Mickey Montgomery. She is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Donald M. Aldridge; her two sons, Jason E. Aldridge, and Bradley K. Aldridge and his wife, Whitney; and her grandson, Hudson Ross Aldridge. Also left to cherish her memory are her sister and brother-in-law, Renate and H.D. Kemp; her sister-in-law, Julia Kay Woodard; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Her greatest joy was being a mother and new grandmother. Doris was a devoted member of Raleigh Court Presbyterian Church for many years. She was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and Roanoke Memorial Hospital's School of X-Ray Technology. Doris had a lengthy career in the medical field. The family would like to thank Doris' caretaker, Doris Ann Coleman, for her many months of loving care and support. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017, at Oakey's South Chapel. A private graveside ceremony will be held for family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Feeding America of Southwest Virginia, 1025 Electric Road, Salem, VA 24153. on June 1, 2017.¹

     Barbara Scott was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, 2-498 County Road T-626, Surry, Surry Co., Virginia.¹ She was born on April 21, 1941.² As of circa 1963,her married name was Sowder.¹ She married Wallace Augustus "Wally" Sowder, son of Augustus Thrash Sowder and Marion Cockes, circa 1963.¹ Barbara Scott died on August 23, 2013 at Virginia at age 72.^1,2 She Barbara Scott Irvine Sowder, age 72, died August 23, 2013 at 6:00 A.M. She was the daughter of the late Hazel Wilson Irvine and John Scott Irvine. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Wallace A. "Wally" Sowder, a son, Scott Augustus Sowder and his wife Amy, grandson, John Scott, Sister, Nancy Johnson and her husband Gary, a niece LCDR Sunny Mitchell, Brother in law, Gene Sowder, a nephew, Erick Sowder and his wife Anita, their three children, Will, Grace, and Ruby, and a niece, Jennifer Walthan. Barbara was a kind, loving, pretty and vivacious lady. She loved people and good times. She loved to help those in need and brought a smile to their faces. She will be missed by many. The family will receive friends on Sunday August 25, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Rd Chapel. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Surry County.      Sarah Louise Davis was buried at Evergreen Burial Park, 1307 Summit Ave SW, Roanoke, Virginia.² She was born on July 29, 1911 at Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^1,2 As of September 26, 1936,her married name was Sowder.¹ She married Eugene Ronald Sowder, son of Eugene Augustus "Gene" Sowder and Ora Curtis Poff, on September 26, 1936 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2 Sarah Louise Davis died on December 16, 1966 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 55.²
