Survivors include his wife, Billie Wilcox of Gordonville; sons, Steve Kinzie of Ponca City, Okla., and Dan Kinzie of Verona, Ky; daughter, Kathy Bezner of Gordonville; five grandchildren, Corey Kinzie of Oklahoma City, Okla., Marc Kinzie of Verona, Ky., Kasie Kinzie of Ponca City, Okla., Christopher Kinzie of Vacaville, Calif., and D’Arcy Goodenough of Hoboken, N.J; and one great-grandchild, Cade Kinzie of Oklahoma City, Okla. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Wilcox; and one sister, Ann Wilcox. He served in the U.S. Army in the Occupational Forces in Germany.

Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 11:30 a.m. Friday, January 24, with the Rev. Larry Sprouse and the Rev. Herman Word officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Military Honors by VFW Post #1264.      John Watson Tayloe Jr. was buried at Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News, Virginia.³ He was born on December 22, 1933 at Roanoke, Virginia.^5,3 He married Betty Tyree circa 1953.^2,3 John Watson Tayloe Jr. died on January 19, 2007 at Virginia at age 73.^5,3 He John Watson Tayloe Jr., 73, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, at his home. Born in Roanoke, Va., he had been a Peninsula resident for the past 28 years. Mr. Tayloe retired as a Master Sergeant from the U.S. Army in 1980 with 25 years of service. He served two tours in Vietnam and earned numerous awards and honors. He later went on to retire from Civil Service with the Department of Information Management at Ft. Eustis, where he worked in communications from 1983-1996. Mr. Tayloe was a member of Denbigh Christian Church, where he served as a Deacon. He especially loved reading, and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and church family. Mr. Tayloe is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty Tayloe of Newport News; two sons, Keith Tayloe and wife, Terry, of South Riding, Va., and John A. Tayloe and wife, Mary, of Harrisonburg, Va; two daughters, Rhonda Cole and husband, Rick, of Naples, Fla., and Kelly Mannsfeld and husband, Dr. Christian Mannsfeld, of Williamsburg; one brother, Corbin Tayloe and wife, Flora, of Lewisville, Texas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Jason Tayloe, Christopher and Nicholas Tayloe, Lucas and Trevor Caccetta, Chase and Ellie Mannsfeld, Jona Ogden, and Danielle Petty; and one great- grandchild, Kelvin Petty. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Weymouth Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at noon Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Denbigh Christian Church by the Rev. Cliff Manuel. Interment with full Military Honors will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
