Ellis circa 1960.² Ella Virginia Franklin died on September 26, 2012 at Gadsden, Etowah Co., Alabama, at age 69.^2,3 She Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Village Chapel for Ella Virginia Ellis, 69, of Gadsden, who died Sept. 26, 2012. The Rev. Eric Snead will officiate. Burial will take place at Rainbow Memorial Park. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Ellis was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was devoted to her family. She was always there for others and was loved by all who knew her. Ella loved gardening, the outdoors and her cats. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Laura Franklin; brother, Charles Franklin; sister, Muriel Goss; and grandson, Tommy "Frog" Croft II. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Paul W. Ellis; daughters, Wendy (Gary) Goolsby, Lisa (Tommy) Croft; son, Steve (Lora) Ellis; grandchildren, Angel Croft, Libby Ellis, Jonathan Hannah, Steven Paul Argo, Bella Goolsby and Zoe Hannah; great-grandson, Shawn David Argo; brothers, John Paul (June) Franklin, Leon (Lois) Franklin and Ronald Franklin; sisters, Becky Oliver, Judy Snead and Nancy (Donald) Walker; special friends, Larry and Judy Moon. Pallbearers will be family. Special thanks to our Timberlane neighbors who showed our family kindness throughout the years. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 this evening at the funeral home. on September 28, 2012.²

Ellis died on March 7, 2014 at Gadsden, Etowah Co., Alabama.² He Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Village Chapel for Paul W. Ellis, 71, Gadsden, who passed on March 7, 2014. The Rev. Eric Snead will officiate. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.Mr. Ellis was owner/operator of Lift & Machinery Company for more than 34 years. Paul proudly served and lived his life as a United States Marine. He was a loving father, grand-daddy and was loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Ella V. Ellis; grandson, Tommy Wayne "Frog" Croft; brother. Travis Morris; father.
