The family would like to express their thanks to Hollins Manor and Bible Baptist Church for the love and care they provided James. Surviving family include two brothers, Wallace E. and Nancy S. Kelley, of Troutville, and Richard M. and Cornelia Kelly of Layton, Utah. A graveside funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, February 26, in Sherwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Jeff Gardner officiating. Arrangements by Lotz Vinton Chapel. on February 25, 1999.²

     Richard Milliard Kelly was buried at Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, Ogden, Weber Co., Utah.³ He was born on January 27, 1935 at Helen, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^5,3 He married Cornelia Ann Custer, daughter of Elisha Barnard Custer and Vivian Blanche Wilson, on February 1, 1957 at Roanoke, Virginia.^6,4,7 Richard Milliard Kelly died on August 19, 2011 at Utah at age 76.^5,3 He Richard M. Kelly, 76, Chief Master Sgt., USAF (Ret.), passed away peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2011. He was born on January 27, 1935, in Helen, W.Va. He married the love of his life, Cornelia Ann Custer, on February 1, 1957, in Roanoke, Va. They are the parents of three wonderful children. Richard served proudly as a member of the United States Air Force, retiring in January, 1986 after 31 years of service. He also served as a civil servant at Hill Air Force Base for 10 years. He was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church, and served faithfully as a deacon for many years. He was greatly loved by his church family. Richard is survived by his wife; his sons, Arnold of St. Louis, Mo., and Gerald of Layton, Utah; daughter, Cindy (Earl) Baker, of Layton, Utah; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He also is survived by a brother, Wallace (Nancy) Kelly, of Daleville, Va. Richard was greatly loved by his family. We were truly blessed to have him as a husband, father, grandfather and brother. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at the Mountain View Baptist Church, 2585 E. 3000 N. (Hwy. 193), Layton. Friends may visit family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, and on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at the church. Interment will be held at Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, Ogden. on August 23, 2011.⁶

     Wayne C. Kelley was buried at Pipe Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery, 130 South Clear Ridge Road, Union Bridge, Carroll Co., Maryland.² He married Janet E. McDevitt.² Wayne C. Kelley was born on July 13, 1935 at Maryland.^1,2 He died on January 27, 1992 at Maryland at age 56.²

     Janet E. McDevitt was buried at Pipe Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery, 130 South Clear Ridge Road, Union Bridge, Carroll Co., Maryland.¹ Her married name was Kelley.¹ She married Wayne C. Kelley, son of Samuel Greer Kelley Sr. and Rennis G. "Wren" Smithson.¹ Janet E. McDevitt was born on March 14, 1937.¹ She died on January 23, 2000 at Owings Mills, Baltimore Co., Maryland, at age 62.¹

W., Roanoke, Virginia.^1,8 She was born on October 6, 1948 at Roanoke, Virginia.^7,2,3,4,5 As of July 26, 1968,her married name was Ellis.⁴ She married Gary Duane Ellis on July 26, 1968 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,4 Shelby Jean Shorter and Gary Duane Ellis were divorced on March 2, 1978 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.⁵ Shelby Jean Shorter died on December 4, 2004 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 56.^1,7,9 She Shelby Jean Ellis, 56, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, December 4, 2004. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank Sr. and Virginia Shorter. Mrs. Ellis was a long-time employee of Pearle Vision Center. She loved gardening, spending weekends at the lake, and her two cats. She is survived by her husband, Gary Ellis; son, Duane Ellis and wife, Denise, of Salem; three brothers, Frank B. Shorter, Jr. and wife, Marie, of Michigan, Robert W. Shorter and wife, Doris, of Roanoke, and Karl Shorter and wife, Judy, of Roanoke; and two sisters, Rita Crane and husband, Carlos, of Roanoke, and Kathryn Hurt of Roanoke. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. Michael Duvall and the Rev. Bob West officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Oakey's North Chapel. on December 6, 2004.¹
