     Billy Bob Maxfield Mr. Billy Bob Maxfield, age 73, of Finney, Virginia passed away Saturday (February 2, 2013) in a Lebanon, Virginia hospital. Born December 1, 1938 in Russell County, Virginia, he was a son of the late Sim and Grace Elizabeth Thompson Maxfield. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a disabled school bus driver, having been employed by Russell County Public Schools. He enjoyed fishing and riding around. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Maxfield, Donald Maxfield and Jessie Maxfield. Survivors include his loving wife, Darlis Maxfield of Honaker, Virginia; four children, Carl Maxfield and wife, Carol, Delores Murphy and husband, Mark, Jeff Maxfield and wife, Melody and Teresa Hess all of Honaker, Virginia; one sister, Garnet Smith and husband, Collier of Roanoke, Virginia; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one expected great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen Musick officiating. Interment will follow in the Maxfield Cemetery at Finney, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Cody Maxfield, Bradley Murphy, Billy Joe Maxfield, Jeffery Maxfield, Jonathan Hess, Dakota Hess, Paul Stinson and Ronald McGlothlin.      Donald Wayne Maxfield was buried at Maxfield Cemetery, Rt. 743, just off Rt. 650 near Finney, Russell Co., Virginia.² He was born on March 25, 1944 at Russell Co., Virginia.^2,4 He married Juanita Smith circa 1965.^2,3 Donald Wayne Maxfield died on July 17, 2004 at Lebanon, Russell Co., Virginia, at age 60.^2,4 He HONAKER – Donald Wayne Maxfield, 60, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 17, 2004, in the Russell County Medical Center following a long illness. Born March 25, 1944, in Russell County, a son of the late Sim Maxfield and the late Grace Thompson Maxfield, he was employed by Matney Construction Co. and attended Reeds Valley Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Maxfield. Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Juanita Smith Maxfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Steve Hampton, Hinesville, Ga; three sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Cathy Maxfield, Honaker, Kevin and Paula Maxfield, Swords Creek, Va., and Marty and Rhonda Maxfield, Belfast, Va; seven grandchildren, Tiffany Maxfield, Waylon Maxfield, Lakin Maxfield, Mallorie Matney, Levi Maxfield, Logan Maxfield and Justin Hampton; two brothers, Bill Maxfield and Jessee Maxfield and wife Linda, all of Honaker; one sister, Garnett Smith and husband Collier, Roanoke, Va; also several nieces and nephews. The funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2004, in the Combs Funeral Service Chapel, with the Rev. Jim Huffman, the Rev. Guy Harris and the Rev. Duane Musick officiating. Burial will follow in the Maxfield Family Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Matney, Shawn Matney, Ellis Matney and employees of Matney Construction. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charlie Smith; and one sister, Mary Rose Jackson. Survivors include one daughter, Sherry and Steve Hampton, Bristol, Tenn; three sons, Timothy and Melissa Maxfield, Honaker, Kevin and Donna Maxfield, Honaker, and Marty and Ashley Maxfield, Honaker; 11 grandchildren, Tiffany Ward, Waylon Maxfield, Lakin Helton, Travis Vandyke, Kari Vandyke, Mallorie Matney, Levi Maxfield, Logan Maxfield, Makatlyn Harris, Shayla Harris and Justin Hampton; five great-grandchildren, McKinlee Maxfield, Bentlee Helton, Isabella Stanford, Brady Ward and Autumn Street; four sisters, Delzie and Frank Artrip, Lebanon, Dorena Salyers, Cleveland, Va., Patty Honaker, Lebanon, and Gay and Will Keith, Lebanon; four brothers, Collier Smith and Garnette, Roanoke, Va., Edd Smith and Bertie, Lebanon, Norman and Sharon Smith, Goodview, Va, and Robert Smith, Cleveland; also several nieces and nephews survive. The funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2013, in the Combs Funeral Service chapel, with the Rev. Guy Harris and the Rev. Donnie Musick officiating. Burial will follow in the Maxfield Family Cemetery.
