Crowder and his wife, Jean; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. She was born September 4, 1946 in Fincastle, Virginia, to the late Alexander Smith Booth and Pearl Lillie Crowder Booth. She was a homemaker throughout her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Burley Atkins, Sr. and a sister, Virginia Crowder. She is survived by a daughter, Rose Broughman and husband, Jesse of Fincastle; a son, James Burley Atkins, Jr. and wife, Erin of Covington; five sisters, Darlene Trail and husband, Leo of Richmond, Ema Lou Walton and husband, Ronnie of Richmond, Helen Crawford of Newcastle, Earlene Hodges of Buchanan, and Carula Hodges of Buchanan; a brother, Carl Booth and wife, Jerry of Georgia; a granddaughter, Michelle and husband, Russell of Buchanan; a great grandson, Jacob Matthew, due July 21; and a number of nieces and nephews.
