Surviving are three children, James (wife: Bobbie) Conner of Lafayette, Larry (wife: Melody) Conner of Lafayette, and Rosalie (husband: Robert) Thomasmeyer of Eustis, FL. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, Raymond, and Floyd Weliever. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 7th at 2 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral Care with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Alan Yeater officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Creasy Lane Church of Christ. Simplicity Funeral Care entrusted with care. on January 6, 2015.2

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Claibourne Thompson; a daughter, Zona Gail Lucado; brothers, Elden, Aulden, Lake, Gaines, Gilmer, Gudger, Jess, Beech, Howard, Carl and Clyde; sisters, Ethel, Pearl and Ercil; and a grandchild named Loretta. She is survived by a daughter, Kaye Thompson Jones and her husband, Rex, of Dublin; sons, Garry Wayne Thompson and his wife, Norma, of Marion, Ronald C. Thompson and his wife, Connie, of Snowville, and a grandson she raised as a son, Michael Lee Thompson and his wife, Patricia, of Pulaski. She is also survived by grandchildren, Renee East, Karen Bond, Derek Thompson, Michael Lee Thompson Jr., J.W. Thompson, Kasey Quesenberry, Buddy Luckado, and Mike Luckado; great-grandchildren, Dustin East, Celia East, Curtis Johnson and April Alley; eight great-great grandchildren; special nieces and nephews, Stafford Compton, Bobby Joe Compton, Mildred King, Bill Compton, and Nadyne White. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with the Rev. John C. Briggs and the Rev. Carl White ministering. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visiting will be Tuesday evening, 6-8, at the funeral home. The family will be gathering at Mrs. Thompson's apartment, 988 Memorial Drive, Apt. 28, in Pulaski. Billy Bob Maxfield Mr. Billy Bob Maxfield, age 73, of Finney, Virginia passed away Saturday (February 2, 2013) in a Lebanon, Virginia hospital. Born December 1, 1938 in Russell County, Virginia, he was a son of the late Sim and Grace Elizabeth Thompson Maxfield. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a disabled school bus driver, having been employed by Russell County Public Schools. He enjoyed fishing and riding around. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Maxfield, Donald Maxfield and Jessie Maxfield. Survivors include his loving wife, Darlis Maxfield of Honaker, Virginia; four children, Carl Maxfield and wife, Carol, Delores Murphy and husband, Mark, Jeff Maxfield and wife, Melody and Teresa Hess all of Honaker, Virginia; one sister, Garnet Smith and husband, Collier of Roanoke, Virginia; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one expected great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen Musick officiating. Interment will follow in the Maxfield Cemetery at Finney, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Cody Maxfield, Bradley Murphy, Billy Joe Maxfield, Jeffery Maxfield, Jonathan Hess, Dakota Hess, Paul Stinson and Ronald McGlothlin. The funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2004, in the Combs Funeral Service Chapel, with the Rev. Jim Huffman, the Rev. Guy Harris and the Rev. Duane Musick officiating. Burial will follow in the Maxfield Family Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Matney, Shawn Matney, Ellis Matney and employees of Matney Construction.
