     Ronnie Dale King Ronnie King, age 61, of Salem, Va. went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at his home. Ronnie was born on Thursday, December 6, 1956 to Dorothy King and the late Robert B. King. He was an avid car enthusiast, more so than his love for cars, he was a loving husband to his wife, Karen King. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his siblings, Gary King, Jean McGlothlin, Connie Pressley, David King, and Faye; brother-in-laws, Ronald Wray and Danny Wray; sister-in-law, Susan Dodd; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018 at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, Va. James was born August 3, 1948 in Pearisburg, Va., the son of [James Franklin] "Frank" Weddle and [Agnes] Evelyn (Dove) Weddle. James was married to Liddie Ella (King), of Salem for 42 years. James and Liddie moved to Texas in 1993 with their two daughters, [Evelyn] Catherine and Billie Jean, seeking adventure, but loved the Blue Ridge Mountains. James is survived by his wife, Liddie; daughters, Cathy Allen and husband, Joey, and Billie Jean Weddle; granddaughters, Ariel Weddle, Brianna and Bailey Burgeson; sister, Sue Garland and husband, Billy Garland; brothers, Terry Weddle and wife, Joanne Weddle, Mark Weddle; nephews, David Weddle, Jerry Weddle, Mark Weddle, Kevin Weddle, Mathew Weddle, Andy Weddle and Connor Weddle; along with 11 great-nieces and nephews.      Jane Ellen King Jane Ellen King-Hale, 76 of Salem passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020. She was born on April 30, 1944 in Salem, VA. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jerry Hale Jr. Her four children and their spouses: Larry Hale, Sr. (Mel), Debbie Hodges (Bobby), Perry Hale, Sr. (Angie) and Terry Saul (Larry). She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren: Christy Hale, Larry Hale, Jr., Lacy Ross (Jerry), Perry Hale, Jr. and 4 great-grandchildren: Joshua Hale-Coe, Autumn Coe, Jocelyn Ross and Destiny Ross. Jane loved being a wife, mom and a granny. The roll that she played best and was known for the most was being a Granny. She loved to cook, bake, play cards and win mostly, sew, garden, read and go to the movies. If there was a chance to go out to eat, she was ready – especially with her best friend and little sister, Liddie Weddle, when they would go out – the family referred to them as Thelma and Louise. She loved to travel with her granddaughter, Christy. She loved to talk for hours or work side by side in the garden with her grandson, Perry. She would love trying new recipes and surprising her husband with new “exotic dishes”. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Jane Hale; his little sisters, Brenda Gail Hale and Mary Hale; and half-brother Ross Harris, Jr. He is survived by his brother, Jimmy Hale; and his sister, Josephine aka Jo Moorefield (Garry); and his four children and their spouses: Larry Hale, Sr. (Mel), Debbie Hodges (Bobby), Perry Hale, Sr. (Angie) and Terry Saul (Larry). He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren; Sqreekie aka Christy, Larry Hale, Jr., Lacy Ross (Jerry), Perry Hale, Jr;and 4 great-grandchildren, Joshua Hale-Coe, Autumn Coe, Jocelyn Ross and Destiny Ross. The ole man enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting, sitting on his porch enjoying the view or gardening. He loved to be surrounded by his family if you combined the two he was a happy man. He liked playing cards, tinkering on things around the house, going over the mountain with his grandson, Perry, and Thursday night dates with his granddaughter, Sqreekie. Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Sharon Bibbs; children, Russon Bibbs and Ashlee Bibbs; mother, Irene Bibbs; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Kim Bibbs; sisters and brother-in-law, Gloria and Sam Atkins, and Shirley Bibbs, all of Roanoke, Va; mother-inlaw, Gladys Anderson; brother-in-law, Lewis Anderson; two nieces and two nephews; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
