Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. on April 18, 2000.²

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Albert and Ethel Smith, of Floyd. She is survived by two children, three grandchildren, cousins, and many very special friends and neighbors. The will be no visitation or services at the funeral home. A graveside service will be Thursday August 10, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Jacksonville Cemetery with the Rev. Monroe Hedrick officiating. She will be buried beside her parents. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rescue Squad. Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. on August 9, 2006.¹
