Born January 2, 1936, she is the daughter of the late Carlos and Mae Miles Poff of Sophia. Phyllis was a 1953 graduate of Sophia High School where she was a cheer leader and a member of the Glee Club. She was a lifelong member of Sophia Freewill Baptist Church. Phyllis retired from Eastern Coal. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Bobbie Robinson of Beckley; sons, Mike Robinson and companion Carmella Herrera, Doug Robinson and wife Mary of Sophia; grandchildren, Chris and wife Tiffany Jonathan, Zack, Nick and the only granddaughter Sara Beth; and great-grandson, Brock; brother, Robert Poff and wife Teri and niece, Pamela of Talmadge, Ohio; also special pet, Petie. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the Sophia Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Dean Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may gather with the family from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations may be made to the family at PO Box 1321, Sophia, WV 25921. on February 24, 2011.¹
