     Jerry Lee Whitlow Jerry Lee “Tucker” Whitlow, 61 of Peterstown died Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA from injuries sustained in a car accident. Born January 23, 1957 in Giles County, he was the son of the late Mazie Lee Anna Hurt and Brenton Lloyd Whitlow. Jerry was also proceeded in death by his wife Kathy Robertson he survived by his daughters Cassandra Lothery and husband Nathan of Lindside, Misty Lowe and husband Aaron of Princeton; step-children Monica Atwell of Bland, VA and Grey Robertson of Narrows, VA; three sisters, Theresa Thompson of Kellysville, WV, Kathy Hicks and husband Clarence of Cheesy Creek and Belinda Thompson and husband Murice Narrows, VA; one brother, Bobby Whitlow and wife Katrina of Princeton, WV; nine grandchildren.² He married Kathy Ann Robertson.² Jerry Lee Whitlow was born on January 23, 1957 at Giles Co., Virginia.^2,3 He died on February 22, 2018 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 61.²

     Kathy Ann Robertson Kathy Ann Robertson, 57, of Peterstown, WV passed away, Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA due to complications of Pancreatic Cancer. Born March 11, 1958 at Pearisburg, VA she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Helen Louise Cooper Robertson. Kathy was Homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and Everette Robertson. Survivors include her companion of 30 years, Jerry Whitlow, son, Greg Robertson and wife Michelle of Narrows, VA, three daughters, Monica Atwell and husband Chris of Rocky Gap, VA, Misty Lowe and husband Aaron of Princeton, WV and Cassandra Lothery and husband Nathan of Lindside, WV, four brothers, Eugene Robertson and wife Jennifer of Pearisburg, VA, Bill and Mike Robertson of Narrows, VA, Larry Robertson and wife Maxine of Wayside, VA, sister, Teresa Snider and husband Willis of Gold Bond, VA, nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.² Her married name was Whitlow.¹ She married Jerry Lee Whitlow, son of Benton Lloyd "Benny" Whitlow and Mazie Lee Anna Hurt.¹ Kathy Ann Robertson was born on March 11, 1958 at Pearisburg, Giles Co., Virginia.^2,3 She died on August 26, 2015 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 57.²

     James Earl "Jay" Whitlow James Earl Whitlow, 69, of Kellysville Road, Princeton, died Sunday, November 3, 2019 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born August 18, 1950 in Princeton, he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Alice Whitt Whitlow. He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother uncle and friend. James served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He worked in the coal mines and also worked in the construction industry. James loved hunting, fishing, hunting ginseng and just being in the outdoors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Houston, James, Dean, Benny, Larry, Harry, Lois, Claris, Betty Jo, Connie, Jeff and Billy. Surviving is his loving wife Ellen. Children: Jimmy J. Whitlow and wife Ann, Becky Gibson and husband Casey. Grandchildren: Briana Whitlow and fiancée Curtis Nicholson, Casey J., Delney and Zoey Gibson. Two great-grandchildren, Axton and Azlynn Nicholson. Two sisters, Donna Tignor and Patsy Elliott. Special niece, Amy Beth Dunn. Several nieces and nephews. She was born in Kellysville, W.Va., on March 7, 1939, a daughter of the late Robert and Alice Whitlow. She lived the majority of her life in the North Carolina area until recently moving to Cleveland with her daughter due to her declining health. She was of the Baptist faith and a very loving and devoted mother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nine other brothers and sisters, leaving her the only surviving descendant of Robert and Alice. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, one daughter, Betty and Dennis Smith of Cleveland; two sons, Steve and Kathy Boseman of Gifton, N.C., and Paul and Diana Boseman of Greenville, N.C; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous other extended family members and friends. on November 5, 2012.⁵

     Patricia Jane Smith was buried at Peterstown Cemetery, Peterstown, Monroe Co., West Virginia.³ Her married name was Whitlow.¹ She married Larry Lee Whitlow, son of Robert Lee Whitlow and Flora Alice Whitt.¹ Patricia Jane Smith was born on June 10, 1941 at Waiteville, Monroe Co., West Virginia.^3,1 She died on February 13, 2011 at Peterstown, Monroe Co., West Virginia, at age 69.^1,3 She Patricia Smith Whitlow, 69, of Peterstown, W.Va., passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2011, in her home after a long illness. Born on June 10, 1941, at Waiteville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles S. and Lyda Lafon Smith Ray. Patty was a retired employee of the Celanese Corporation with over 24 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Whitlow; a son, Chris Whitlow; one brother, Virgil Smith; five sisters, Jean Harmon, Toni Lomello, Sue Ballard, Gloria Bowles, an infant sister, Rebecca Ray; and a granddaughter, Clarissa Ervin. Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Fleeman and husband, Ronnie, of Narrows, Va., Pamela Ervin, of Morgantown, W.Va., and Amy Dunn and husband, Paul Ballard, of Peterstown, W.Va; one son, Greg Frazier and wife, Angie, of Narrows, Va; four brothers, Lonnie Spade, of Cummings, Ga., Raymond Smith, of Aurora, Colo., and Junior Ray and Joe Ray, both of Peterstown, W.Va; one sister, Peggy Mann, of Rich Creek, Va; and six grandchildren, Chad Fleeman and wife, Melia, Amber Caldwell and husband, Josh, Devin and Levi Frazier, Shaynah Ervin, and Gabe Dunn, at home. Burial will follow at the Peterstown Cemetery, Giles County, Va. Eddie Ballard, Eddie Graham, Billy Cochran, Josh, Aaron, Alan, and Logan Ray will serve as pallbearers. on February 15, 2011.¹

"Chris" Whitlow was buried at Peterstown Cemetery, Peterstown, Monroe Co., West Virginia.^3,4 He was born on September 18, 1972 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^3,4 He died on August 16, 1991 at Lindside, Monroe Co., West Virginia, at age 18.^3,4 He Christopher L. (Chris) Whitlow, 18, of Peterstown, died Friday at Lindside. Born at Princeton, he was the son of Larry L. and Patricia (Pat) Smith Whitlow of Peterstown. He was a construction worker for Harris Construction Co., and attended Peterstown High School. Additional survivors: brother, John Gregory Frazier of Blacksburg, Va; sisters, Deborah Frazier Fleeman of Narrows, Va., Amy Whitlow Reynolds of Rich Creek, Va., and Pamela Ferguson Powell of Morgantown; two nieces and one nephew. Death was attributed to natural causes. Born at McComas, he was a son of Mrs. Ellen J. Brummett McMillan of Freeman and the late James Isaac Brummett. An employee of Hawley Fuel Co. at Landgraff, he was a member of the UMWA, and was a member of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his wife Shirley Williams. Born May 17, 1947, in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Elzie Harris and Mazie Myrtle Keller Williams Daugherty. He was also preceded in death by his good friend and step-father, Willard "Bill" Daughtery. Randy was well known throughout the area for his teaching of Karate. He was the owner of the American Karate Academy in Lynchburg. He owned the first full-time Krate school in Lynchburg. He was a tenth degree Master Karate teacher and well respected by all under his instruction. Randy was a member of the American Karate Association, MENSA, Moose Lodge #715, and the Deora Cycling Confederation. He also taught canine behavior training in California. He was a former Lynchburg Police officer and later a manager with Lynchburg Training Center. In addition to his wife, Shirley, Randy is survived by one son, Randy Williams Carmine of Tampa, FL; one daughter, Whitney Williams of Lynchburg; one brother, Kip Daugherty of St. Peters, MS; two sisters, Tracy Daughtery of Charleston, WVa and Shelia Hartless of Pittsburgh. PA; one grandchild, Persephone Carmine. Randy is also survived many friends including, Jimmy Lee Horsley, Jerry Horsley, Carl Horsley, Richard Blankenship, Dennis Wright, Pete Hicks, and Kent Johnson. The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Koury, and the nurses in Neurological Intensive Care, Jillian, Heather, Kristin, Gay, Kara Christy, Amanda and Darah for their love and outstanding care given to Randy. Interment will be in Fort Hill Memorial Park. on January 13, 2008.⁶

She was a member of Sandy Bottom Christian Church. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles E. Raikes Jr. and Emmett Raikes; seven sisters, Erma R. Newcomb, Myrtle R. Roberts, Violet Raikes, Margaret R. Smithers, Mary Raikes, Bessie R. Vest and Sammie R. Roberts; and a grandson, Richard Scott Williams. Survivors include a son, Richard E. Williams and wife, Nancy, of Amherst; three sisters, Louise R. Mitchell, of Lynchburg, Billie R. Morcom and husband, Woody, of Madison Heights, and Jean R. Wood and husband, Maynard, of Madison Heights; granddaughter, Laura Gayle Williams and husband, Han Dilani, of Bethesda, Md; step-grandchildren, Kendall M. Mays and wife, Anna, of Amherst, Emily Orme and husband, Josh, of Piney River, Ellen Wilmer and husband, Chris, of Roanoke, and Mitchell Ferguson and wife, Nikki, of Standardsville; six step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at Whitten Monelison Chapel by the Rev. Jim Freeman and the Rev. Dr. Michael Fitzgerald. Interment will take place in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and other times at the residence of Richard and Nancy Williams, 1037 Falling Rock Drive in Amherst County.
