Armor Frizzell's royal carriage arrived to deliver her into the heavenly kingdom on 1-14-08. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Frizzell, Sr. (Fa-Fa), with whom she shared a passion for Geology, History and Horse Drawn Vehicles. Mildred taught Geology at OCU and was one of the first 3 women to receive a MS in Geology from OU. She was known as Madame President, due to the numerous social, political and geological organizations she chaired or helped to charter, including the Oklahoma Art Club, PEO, the American Glass Club, Board Member of the Oklahoma Historical Society, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and serving as one of the first editors of the Oklahoma Geological ShaleShaker. "Old Timer", as she insisted her grandchildren and others call her, was best described as ELEGANT and WONDERFUL. Her storytelling painted MARVELOUS colorful strokes within the minds of those listening. At 101 years old, OT still actively researched various historical projects of interest and often acted as a resource to fellow historians. OT and Fa-Fa never made it to Yellowstone Park on their honeymoon to study geological formations, as they stopped in Colorado Springs for several weeks and spent their savings on a horse. We think OT and Fa-Fa will make it this time! Graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday, January 18, 2008, at 1:00pm. on January 17, 2008.3
