He worked as a tractor trailer driver in California before retiring after 18 years with the City of Buckhannon, West Virginia as superintendent of waste collection in December 1998. He moved to Hobart, Oklahoma, in March of 1999, and remained there until his passing. He is survived by his daughter Jill Baker, Petersburg, Virginia, granddaughter Ashley Curtis, Bono, Arkansas, great-grandson, Dylan Curtis, Bono, Arkansas, granddaughter, Ariel Baker, Brooklyn, New York, and grandson, Fred Baker IV, Chester, Virginia.3 He was born on September 11, 1937 at Lucinda, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania.3 He died on August 4, 2016 at Hobart, Kiowa Co., Oklahoma, at age 78.3

Martin Amsler, 72, of Knox RD. Beaver Township justice of the peace and retired employe of Edenburg Oil And Gas Company, were conducted at 2 p.m. this afternoon. The Rev. Eli Fabian, pastor of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Knox, conducted the services in the Stuart Funeral Home, Knox. Mr. Amsler died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Franklin Hospital following a heart attack. He had been a patient in the hospital since Dec. 16, undergoing treatment for a previous attack. A son of Henry and Etta Switzer Amsler, he was born at Wentling Corners Sept. 7, 1899, and lived in that area his entire life. He was educated in the Wentling Corners public school and graduated in 1918 from Clarion Normal School. He taught in the Beaver Township School District for 10 years, later accepting a position with Edenburg Oil and Gas Company with which he was associated for 42 years, retiring Sept. 1, 1970. Mr. Amsler was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and taught the Men's Bible Class for several years. He served as secretary of the Beaver Township School Board for 36 years and as president of the Keystone Joint School District Board for four years. His wife, the former Ada Smith, survives along with two daughters, Mrs. Orval (Patricia) Best of Franklin RD 2, and Mrs. Harry (Charlotte) Theis of Alameda, Calif; eight grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. on December 22, 1971.2

     George Washington Shay was buried at Garland Presbyterian Cemetery, Garland, Warren Co., Pennsylvania.3,4 He was born on August 8, 1852 at Helen Furnace, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania.3 He married Rosella Alfreda "Rosa" Gilmore, daughter of William Gilmore and Eliza Jane Huling, circa 1879.5,3 George Washington Shay died on January 24, 1937 at Clarendon, Warren Co., Pennsylvania, at age 84.3,4 He G. W. Shay died at his home in Clarendon Sunday January 24, aged 84 years, 5 months and 16 days. Besides his wife, he is survived by the following children: Sarah Heasley, Myra Grandenberg, Ada (shoild be Ellen) Lobdell, Richard Shay, all of Clarendon; Ada Ott of Los Angeles, Calif; Ruth Hilditch of Niagara Falls; Twila Dunham, of Olean, N.Y; Mabel Troutner of Detroit, Mich., and William Shay of Jamestown. There are also 28 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren surviving. Also one sister, Mrs. Alice McMichael, of Warren. Private funeral services we held from the home Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Emerson Jones officiating. Burial will be at Garland. on January 25, 1937.4

Shay, Superintendent of the Union Rescue Mission, Jamestown; two daughters, Mrs. Ariel Vincent of Bemus Point, and Mrs. Beryl Schaftenaar of Falconer; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Lobdell and Mrs. Ruth Hilditch, both of Clarendon, PA. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Stockton, NY. on June 12, 1967.6
