McClellan and Rebecca Crispin, circa 1921.2,1 Ella Jane Tuttle died on October 17, 1950 at Warren, Warren Co., Pennsylvania, at age 66.1 She Ella Jane McClellan, wife of Frank W. McClellan, died at 5:30 a.m. today in Warren General Hospital where she had been a patient for the past two weeks. She was born at Kinzua on June 22, 1884, and had lived in that vicinity all her life. She was a member of the St. Luke's Episcopal church at Kinzua and of its Altar Guild; also the Royal Neighbors and the Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Besides her husband, she leaves one son, Stanley E., of Olean, N.Y; two grandchildren, Gary E. and Sharon Lea McClellan, both of Olean; three brothers and one sister, E. R. Tuttle, Hamburg, N.Y., Mrs. Mettie Cookingham, Olean. Removal has been made to the Peterson Funeral Home where friends will be received at the regular hours from two p.m. Wednesday until noon on Friday. The body will be then be taken to the Saint Luke's church at Kinzua for services at two o'clock the same afternoon. The Rev. Beecher M. Rutledge, Warren, will officiate and interment will follow in the Kinzua cemetery. on October 17, 1950.1

     Frank Martin Roome was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1847 14th Street, Santa Monica, Los Angeles Co., California.6 He was born on September 13, 1888 at Sistersville, Tyler Co., West Virginia; His WWI Draft Registration card has a birth date of Sep 13, 1887.2,3 He married Myrtle Frances Gruber, daughter of Jacob Mooney Gruber and Emeline "Emma" McClellan, on January 30, 1908 at Wheeling, Ohio Co., West Virginia.1 Frank Martin Roome died on April 29, 1955 at Shreveport, Caddo Parish, Louisiana, at age 66.4,5 He Frank Roome, formerly of Mattoon, died about noon Friday at his home in Shreveport, La., from a heart attack, according to word received by Mattoon friends. Nothing is known here about funeral arrangements. Mr. Roome was about 65 years old. While in Mattoon he was with the Carter Oil Company, but left here about ten years ago and had been an independent operator since that time. Survivors are his wife, Myrtle, a son, Joseph Roome, of Pacoima, Cal., a daughter, Mrs. F. Seigfreid of Los Angeles, Cal., and five grandchildren. His daughter-in-law, Mrs. Joseph Roome, is the former Doris Hardinger of Mattoon. on April 30, 1955.4

He loved travel, classical music, bowling, and reading. He was a veteran of World War II serving in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe from 1942 to 1945. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nora M. Dean; father, Edwin Dean; sisters, Leila and Ruby Dobbins. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margaret Dean; daughter, Victoria Wood and husband, Dale; son, Steven Dean and wife, Carola; grandchildren, Lauren, William and Steven Dean, Jr; step-grandchildren, Jennifer Wood, Lauren Wood Huckaby and Elliot Wood; immediate nieces and nephews, Fern Schonauer, Ruby Ausbury, Dr. Richard Dobbins; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Alamo Heights Health and Rehabilitation for the sensitive care they provided for 5 years and the Hospice care given by Odyssey Health Care. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 22, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring. Service Friday, June 23, 2006 9:00 A.M. Trinity Baptist Church 319 E. Mulberry. The Rev. Eshelman was buried at Scotch Hill Union Cemetery, Scotch Hill, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania.2,1 She was born on February 17, 1862 at Clarion Co., Pennsylvania.3 As of February 17, 1882,her married name was McClellan.2 She married James Ellsworth McClellan, son of William Franklin McClellan and Julia Ann Reed, on February 17, 1882.4,2,1 Sarah A. Eshelman died on April 30, 1905 at Scotch Hill, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania, at age 43.2,1 She McClelland, Sarah Eshelman - May 4, 1905 - Mrs. James McClelland died at her home near Scotch Hill, Sunday, April 30, 1905, after a prolonged illness of consumption. Her maiden name was Sarah Eshelman and she was married to James McClelland, who with seven children, two girls and five boys, survive. She was about forty-five years old. The funeral services were held in the M.E. church at Scotch Hill and were conducted by the Rev. L.H. Shindledecker, Tuesday morning, May 2, 1905, at ten o'clock. Mrs. McClelland was a loving wife and mother and a true friend. She will be greatly missed, especially in the home circle. The bereaved relatives and friends have the sympathy of the community in their hour of sorrow. on May 4, 1905.1

     Robert Wesley McClellan was buried at Warren County Memorial Park, 2320 Pennsylvania Ave. W Ext., Warren, Warren Co., Pennsylvania.4 He was born on April 29, 1883 at Clarendon, Warren Co., Pennsylvania.1,2,4 He married Matilda Elizabeth "Tillie" Shall on December 22, 1911 at Clarion, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania.3,7,4 Robert Wesley McClellan died on April 23, 1972 at East Hickory, Forest Co., Pennsylvania, at age 88.4 He Tionesta - Robert Wesley McClellan, 88, of East Hickory, died Sunday morning at the home of his daughter Mrs. Merle Dashner of East Hickory. He was born April 29, 1883, in Clarendon, the oldest son of the late James E. and Julia A. Eshelman McClellan. On December 22, 1911, he married the former Matilda E. Shall in Clarion. She preceded him in death on August 19, 1961. Mr. McClellan was a lumberman and farmer all his life. At the time of his retirement he was employed by the Norton Wood Products Co. He served as a steward at the Forest County Home from 1940-43 and was a resident of E. Hickory for 29 years. Surviving are three daughters, Margaret McClellan and Mrs. Merle (Kathryn) Dashner, both of E. Hickory, and Mrs. John (Mona) Phillips of Cyclone, one brother, John McClellan of Wattsburg (Erie); 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were three brothers, Hugh, Harold and Wayne; and two sisters, Florence Brinkley and Edna Fitzgerald. Friends may call from 7 to 9 pm today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday in the James X. Haslet Funeral Home in Tionesta, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Wednesday. Rev. Donald MacAfoose, pastor of United Methodist Church of Tidioute and East Hickory will officiate. Internment will be in Warren Memorial Park in Warren. on April 24, 1972.4
