Martin of Yonkers, founder and executive director of the Pregnancy Care Centers of Lower Westchester, died at her home Saturday after a long illness. She was 59. She was born, April 11, 1927, in Washington, D.C. to J. Garrett and Catherine Bowles Reilly. Mrs. Martin established the first pregnancy care center in Yonkers in 1979. Since then, offices have been opened in New Roehelle, Dobbs Ferry and White Plains. Additional services are available at Fordham University in the Bronx. Over 2,500 women have been counseled at the centers, which encourage pregnant women to bring their babies to term rather than to seek an abortion. Mrs. Martin was educated at Marymount College in Tarrytown and at New York University, where she earned a master's degree in social work. She also holds a certificate in social work from Fordham University. Since 1982, Mrs. Martin had served as executive director of Alternatives to Abortion International, an agency that encourages and trains personnel to work in several hundred pregnancy care and crisis intervention centers across the United States and abroad. An outspoken opponent of abortion, Mrs. Martin lectured around the country on the topic. In March of 1985, she received the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton medal from St. John's University in New York. A communicant of Christ the King Church to Yonkers, she was a member of the order of St. Francis. Survivors include her husband, Robert; two sons, Robert Martin Jr. of Peekskill and Garrett Martin of Rockville, Md; a sister, Anne Coyle of Jacksonville, Fla; a brother, John G. Reilly of Rockville; and five grandchildren. A daughter, Mary Frances, died in 1967. on May 26, 1986.6

He graduated from All Halows High School in the Bronx and from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he studied dentristy. Dr. Martin served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during World War II. He received a Bronze Star. On Aug. 17, 1950, he married Elinor Reilly in Washington, D.C. His wife died in 1986. He was active in the Yonkers Lions Club and was a communicant of Christ the King Church in Yonkers. Dr. Martin was a member of the board of dirtectors of the Southern New Jersey Section of the American Cancer Society in Cape May. He is survived by two sons, James R. Martin Jr. of Avalon, N.J., and Garrett Martin of Rockville, Md; a brother, Victor Martin of Mohegan Lake; two sisters, Janet McNamara and Virginia Whelan, both of Greenburgh; and seven grandchildren. on April 21, 1992.4

     John Thomas Coyle was born on June 17, 1926 at Jacksonville, Duval Co., Florida.2,3 He married Anne Reilly, daughter of Dr. Joseph Garrett Reilly and Catherine Emma Bowles, circa 1951.1,3 John Thomas Coyle died on February 10, 2021 at Jacksonville, Duval Co., Florida, at age 94.3 He John Thomas "Jack" Coyle, 94, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2021. Husband of Anne Reilly Coyle, Jack was born June 17, 1926, in Jacksonville, Fla., to George P. and Mary Dineen Coyle. He attended St. Paul's Catholic School and graduated from Bolles Military Academy in 1944, entering the service immediately afterward. He served in the Pacific with the United States Navy in the Seabees and was honorably discharged at the close of WWII. He was proud to serve his country, and his love for country continued all his life. Jack attended Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and then worked in the family business, George P. Coyle and Sons, for 50 years, retiring as Vice President. He could converse with everyone on many different subjects, his favorite being trains. After retiring, he spent time traveling on the trains of his dreams. Jack returned to work two days a week for many years just to keep active, and he enjoyed the companionship of his many friends. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 129, and the Sales and Marketing Club and he served as President of the Villages of San Jose Paloma Point Association, Chairman of the Villages of San Jose Architectural Review Board, and Greeter and Martha Committee member at San Jose Catholic Church. Jack loved his Church and faithfully served the Lord. He is survived by his wife, Anne Reilly Coyle, to whom he was devoted for 70 years. He used to say he was the "best boy" because he helped her with many Christian endeavors. He was loved by his children, Mary Catherine Green (Jacob), John Garrett (Cathy), Michael (Jan), John Thomas Jr. (Gina), Anne Clewell (Bill), Elinor Cantrell (Wayne), Mary Clare Coyle, James B. (Peggy), and Patricia Farrell (Tom); his 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; cousin Jill Soete Scott; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert W. (Bob) Coyle. on February 19, 2021.3
