Born March 1, 1937, in Bluefield, he was the son of the late Virginia Jean Culp. Charles was raised by his grandmother Susana Druzella Elizabeth Rollin Roark. Charles loved working with his hands, he will long be remembered for being a cabinet maker, he was well known in this area for his skills. He was a member of the New Horizons Nazarene Church in Athens. Charles enjoyed singing, especially in church and listening to Elvis. Carol was a lifelong artist, an avid golfer, and a casino enthusiast. She often paired her love of gambling with travel and was always up for a trip to the casino to try her luck.      Jesse Minter "Bo" Hancock Jr. Jesse M. Hancock, Jr., 76, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday August 22, 2023. He was born on October 18, 1946 to the late Jesse Sr. and Gail Hancock. He was preceded in death by daughters Tracy and Penny Hancock; sisters Linda Hall and Nancy Lamb, and brother-in-law Hondo Lamb. Left to cherish many precious memories are his wife Linda of 34 years; sons Chad (Lori) Wright and Travis Hatem; grandchildren Austin and Avery Wright and Preston Hatem; sister Carol Frye, and brother-in-law Junior Hall, and faithful companion Shadow. Jesse served his country in the National Guard, enjoyed deer hunting with his dad, and loved maintaining the lawn on his John Deere tractor.
